(Minghui.org) Practitioners who drive taxis for a living have for many years been helping others and improving their environment through their cultivation practice. They help during harvest season on farms belonging to families of incarcerated practitioners. When practitioners were arrested and tried unlawfully, they would drive families to the detention centers or police departments to demand their release, and send righteous thoughts. The following are some of their stories.
Practitioner A called me one day saying that he had found a wallet in his car, which contained an ID and 140 yuan. He brought it to me, and according to the ID, the owner was a girl in a nearby village. I gave the wallet to practitioner B, who often went to that village on business. B quickly found the girl's parents, and her father came to pick up the wallet. The father said that his daughter had cried a lot after losing the wallet, thinking she'd never get it back. B clarified the facts of the persecution of Falun Dafa to her father. The father agreed that Falun Dafa is good and thanked B for what he had done.
A father and son were in a car accident in 2002. The father was severely injured and bleeding a lot. The son tried to hitch a ride to get his father to a hospital, but no one would stop to help, after seeing so much blood on the father. The son even knelt down to beg for someone to stop. Practitioner C drove by and after spotting them, quickly stopped his taxi, moved the father into the car, and drove him to a hospital.
Practitioner C also helped with a lot of things in the hospital. When the father asked him his name, C told him to just remember that he was a Falun Dafa practitioner. In the end, C left without collecting his fare, and there was a lot of blood in the back seat of his taxi.
After many years, the father and son still clearly remember what happened. The father said, “In this society, I doubt what most people say to me except for Falun Dafa practitioners. They are the really good people. Other people didn't care if I died, but a Falun Dafa practitioner did us a great favor without charging anything. He even had to clean up after us. I would not believe anyone who says anything bad about them.”
Before the persecution of Falun Dafa was launched on July 20, 1999, practitioner C had a wonderful job and a happy family. He was the first in his area to go to Beijing and appeal for Falun Dafa. With his encouragement, almost a hundred practitioners from our county went to Beijing. The police department mobilized a lot of police to catch him. He was arrested in Beijing and savagely tortured.
During the first few years of the persecution, the Chinese communist regime put up large posters in the busiest area in our town to slander Falun Dafa and Master Li. After C learned about it, he went there with his wife and asked his wife to send righteous thoughts. He went straight toward the posters and tore them up without saying a word. There were many people there, including those who had set up the posters. His wife was terrified. Later the authorities switched to another place to display the defamatory posters. C went there too, and tore down everything. The authorities never again attempted to display any similar posters.
Practitioner D is the coordinator in our county. He never misses an opportunity to talk to the passengers in his taxi about the persecution of Falun Dafa. According to D, his passengers all have a predestined relationship with him, and if he misses the opportunity to clarify the truth to them, he might never meet them again.
Once, when he was trying to help one of his passengers quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliates, the person told him, “You have already helped me quit, remember?” Since the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published, he has helped numerous passengers quit the CCP and its affiliates. He is also very helpful and kind.
Practitioner E is a simple and honest person. He is both smart and skillful. He helped many of his friends fix their cars no matter how far away they lived. He makes pretty and delicate Falun Dafa amulets and charms that everyone adores. He often does Falun Dafa work while he is driving. He never complains and does everything with his best efforts.
Practitioner F, who is single, stays at home to study the teachings and do the exercises before he goes out each morning. Many others go out as early as possible to make more money. He took on a lot of debt to remodel his house, then saved every penny he possibly could, and paid off all his debts in a little over a year. During this time, he did not buy any clothes or eat out once. He even managed to save up a few thousand yuan and spent it all on Falun Dafa informational materials.
One time when F found 200 yuan in the back seat of his taxi after a passenger got out, he caught up with him and gave the money back. The passenger asked his name and F only said, “I am a Falun Gong practitioner and our Teacher asks us to behave this way.” The passenger was very moved.
