A Raging Fire Saved Me from Being Taken to a Brainwashing Center
(Minghui.org) The head of our village and others burst into my home one day and tried to force me to sign a guarantee statement to stop practicing Falun Gong.
They also wanted me to hand in all of my Falun Gong books and the picture of the founder of Falun Gong. I told them, “Falun Gong saved me from the brink of death. I used to have lots of illnesses, and I have become very healthy since I started practicing Falun Gong. I used to have a bad temper and was narrow minded and selfish. Now I always consider others first when I do things. What's wrong with such a good practice? Look at the road in front of my house. Who repaired it? Who helped a single older woman fetch water, wash her clothes, and clean her bed cover all year? Is a person like that not good? You don't want people to be good, and I won't sign such statements!”
The former head of the brainwashing center was getting impatient and said, “If you don't hand over your books and sign the paper, you will have to go to the brainwashing center with us.” I replied, “Okay, I will cook for you first and then I will go with you after the meal.”
My husband went into the sitting room and, while I wasn't paying attention, put all of my Dafa books and Master's picture in front of them. I was cooking and had just lit the gas. When I saw that my husband had handed the books over, I rushed over to the head person and grabbed the books and Master's picture. But the others gathered around me, trying to grab the books and picture.
Just then, flames flew out of the cooker toward them. They were frightened and quickly fled. I grabbed the books and Master's picture from my husband and shouted for Master's help: “Master, please put out the fire.” The fire got smaller and smaller and finally returned to normal. Those who had come to harass me were so startled that they were at a loss for words and left.
Master gave a lecture on how divine beings guard the law, and it vividly unfolded right in front of me. I was so excited that I had tears in my eyes. My husband was distracted for a long time and then he came to his senses. He pressed his palms together and said repeatedly, “Master, I was wrong, I was wrong.” He then carefully put Master's picture back in the frame and hung it straight on the wall. I lit a piece of incense and knelt down in front of Master's picture, and said “Thank you, Master. You have saved one more person.”
This incident made it possible for my neighbors to witness the sanctity and dignity of Dafa.
