(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhu Xiaoming used to work in Xiaolongtan Prison's Fifth Division located in Kaiyuan City. He first learned about Falun Gong in 2008 after hearing about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Falun Dafa's beauty deeply attracted him and he soon began to cultivate in Dafa. This November, Mr. Zhu gave the DVD of Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party to co-worker Sun Guojun, who then told the management about it. Soon, several management personnel were involved, including the division's CCP Deputy Commissar Wang Lin, Political Section Lead Wang Shaojun and Security Section Lead Li Aixiang, who investigated him and forced him to “resign”.
Recently, Mr. Zhu wrote to the management and his co-workers from Xiaolongtan Prison telling them about the beauty of Falun Dafa that he experienced as well as the evil nature of the CCP. He hopes that everyone will read the Nine Commentaries and quit the party. Below is his open letter.
Dear Management, Co-workers, and Friends, Greetings!
My name is Zhu Xiaoming and I am 47 years old. I worked in Xiaolongtan Prison for the past 22 years. In 2011, I was transferred to work in the Fifth Jail Division.
I started to learn about Falun Gong in 2008, and I learned many persecution facts about Falun Gong practitioners. Falun Dafa's beauty and righteousness deeply attracted me. In 2004, the Epoch Times website published the Nine Commentaries, which led to reflections and an understanding of the evil nature of the CCP around the world and soon set off the quitting the CCP movement in China (Tuidang). This November I gave a DVD version of it to my co-worker, Sun Guojun. However, to my surprise, he turned it in to the prison's management.
Our schedule at work was one week on and one week off. November 21 was my first day off after working for a full week. I took the bus back to my mother's home in Qujing City. While I was on the bus I got a phone call from instructor Zhao from my division and he told me to return to work. I told him that I had already told the security section about my days off and had already told the division manager. Then I got a phone call from the Fifth Division's Political Section lead, Wang Shaojun, who also told me to return to the prison. He did not say why but only said with a very unyielding tone, “Return immediately today. Otherwise you will bear the consequences yourself.” At the time I was very close to Qujing. My phone ran out of battery after several calls, and turned itself off. I was very busy when I got to my mother's home and I had just set down my phone to charge while keeping it off. When I turned it on in the evening, I saw a text message from the vice political commissar Wang Lin. He ordered me to go back to work the next day and the reason was that there was an emergency incident. Because it was already late at night and I was on vacation, I didn't make a phone call to him at that time. The next morning at around 10 a.m., I called him but couldn't reach his cell phone. I was finally able to talk to him around 12 p.m. I told him that I had a lot of things to take care of at home and that I was on my normal days off. He said, “The Safety Supervision Section has no authority to give days off. During the Eighteenth Conference there is a lot of security work and all individuals must follow the orders from above.” I said, “How come no one mentioned this to me earlier? During my days off I have the right to arrange my own time. On the other hand, it's not like this is the opening day of the Eighteenth Conference; it has been more than ten days. How come you didn't mention this before?” He didn't say anything about investigating me.
November 28, 2012 was my first day back to work. The prison arranged for Wang Lin, Wang Shaojun, and Li Aixiang to talk to me. They asked me what I did during my days off and where I went, as well as what I did during my days at work. They also said that I needed to actively cooperate with their investigation. I answered each of their questions. In the end they asked me about how I got in touch with Falun Gong. I told them that three years ago I carefully read the materials about Falun Gong and got to know about the persecution of the practitioners. Falun Gong requests that practitioners follow the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance when doing things and to become a good person. “Truthfulness” meaning that one needs to speak the truth, do authentic things, be an honest person and return to one's true self; “Compassion” means that one must treat people with kindness; “Forbearance” means that one needs to restrain one's desires and selfishness and look inward when encountering conflicts. I felt that these are very real standards for becoming a good person. After I read the book, Zhuan Falun, I was deeply touched. The requirement spelled out in the book is in sharp contrast with the current situation in society. Everyone in the society sees with their own eyes and hears with their own ears the proliferation of gambling, drugs, prostitution, and other bad things. Using public funds to eat, corruption and bribery are happening everywhere. Would it be wrong to demand oneself to follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance? Also, in the current laws in China, there is nothing that defines Falun Gong as illegal. It is only Jiang Zemin who started this and what he said has no legal power. However, he utilized all Chinese media to slander Falun Gong and they made up all sorts of lies. The entire state apparatus was used to persecute a group of good people. This has brought deep disasters to our country and our people.
After hearing what I had to say, Wang Lin said, “The prison is part of the state apparatus. It is under the CCP's control and it was set up to maintain its political power. If you have lost faith in the Communist Party then you should leave the agency that is under its control. Your belief and cultivation things are in conflict with the Communist belief and the work here does not fit you anymore. Because you gave your co-workers and friends the DVD, here are three options for you: One is that you voluntary resign from work and this is the best outcome; two is that you will be fired and sent to a labor camp; three is you will be sent through the judicial system and be sentenced. The second and third options will be monitored by the public security bureaus and you will be arrested.” I said, “My faith has no conflict with my work. Prisons belong to the country's judicial system and are not owned privately by any organizations or parties. Can the Communist Party be above the law? Even if a prince violates the law, he would be punished like an ordinary person. I have known this principle since I was little. I did not violate any laws because our laws clearly define the freedom of belief and freedom of speech. I'm not going to pick from any of the three options you gave. I am a legal citizen and I have the freedom of belief. Why can't I work in the prison because my belief conflicts with the communists belief? The CCP doesn't equal China. The content of the DVD that I gave to friends only contains facts of what the CCP did. Which law did I violate? You can take the DVD and play it here and see whether it contains anything bad or illegal. People must have the courage to face the facts and this includes the CCP. Why can't they face history and why are they afraid to admit it? They are instead trying to cover up the facts and persecute the people who speak the truth. Although I'm only an ordinary citizen, I do have the basic ability to distinguish between right and wrong and between good and evil.”
On November 30, 2012, Wang Lin, Wang Shaojun, and Li Aixiang began to threaten me with heavy pressure around 8 a.m. to try and force me to sign the form of voluntary resignation. On the form it stated that I want to work as a businessman and am thus resigning. I did not agree to sign it because that was not true nor was it my intention. At around 4 p.m., my mother arrived at the prison. I was very sad when I saw that she was very tired and I wanted to comfort her. However Wang Shaojun and Li Aixiang were blocking my mother from entering the office and would not let us speak to each other. Wang Lin even threatened me using my daughter, who was studying at Honghe College. I really couldn't bear to see my mother getting so worried. Eventually, although against my will, I signed on the voluntary resignation form that they prepared.
My experience clearly proved that due to the evil nature of the CCP, it has no room for good people. With the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, Falun Gong is like a bright mirror that is reflecting all the evil things that the CCP has been doing. That is the reason the CCP is so afraid of a group of good people and persecutes them with the entire nation's resources.
