(Minghui.org) Ms. Liu Yongfen, a Falun Gong practitioner from Chaling, Zhuzhou, Hunan Province, is now in critical condition as a result of being persecuted in Baimalong Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City. On December 26, her family received a phone call from the camp stating that Ms. Liu would need surgery and that someone in the family needed to provide a signature.

The next day when Ms. Liu's family went to the hospital, they were told to go to a hospital in Zhuzhou City, but they did not see her. Instead, they were met by Zhu Rong, a team leader from the labor camp. Zhu Rong showed the family the diagnostic paperwork and said that the doctor thought Ms. Liu had thyroid cancer and would need surgery. Zhu Rong then told Ms. Liu's daughter that she had to sign the paperwork so that her mother could go home and get treatment. Ms. Liu's family asked why no legal procedures had been followed when Ms. Liu was originally arrested, but now that she was in critical condition there was paperwork to sign?

When team leader Huang and Guo Yuanqing learned that Ms. Liu's daughter refused to sign the paperwork, they started yelling at her over the phone and attacking her. They knew that Ms. Liu had health issues and yet they still detained her. The first two times Ms. Liu was illegally arrested because she refused to read the labor camp's regulations, she was shackled and handcuffed by team leaders Peng Jinwen and Zhu Rong.

At this time Ms. Liu's family still has not seen her. The last time they were allowed to visit her was when she was sent to a labor camp for the fourth time. No one knows what abuse she has been subjected to or how much she has suffered in the labor camp, leaving her now in critical condition.

Ms. Liu Yongfen is 61 years old. She is a retired teacher from Limin Iron Miner preschool in Chaling County. After she started practicing Falun Gong in 1999, her hyperthyroidism and uterine leiomyoma disappeared. Since the persecution of Falun Gong started, she has been clarifying the truth to people. She has been detained seven times, sentenced to four years of imprisonment, sent to forced labor twice, and detained for a total of eight years.

Between July and September 2012, Ms. Liu was sent to Baimalong Forced Labor Camp three times by the Limin Office in Chaling County and agents from the Domestic Security Division. She was sentenced to two years of forced labor, during which time, due to her physical condition, she was on the brink of being paralyzed. Attempting to avoid being held responsible for her condition, the labor camp officials let her out three times. Instead of being sent home, she was kept at her workplace under house arrest.

On November 16, 2012, right before the regime's 18th Party Congress, Limin Office agents noticed that Ms. Liu had recovered, so they sent her back to Baimalong Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Liu's legs, which had recovered, became paralyzed again. During the entry physical, they found that Ms. Liu was still sick. They took her to the Second Hospital of Zhuzhou City to have another physical, but they deemed her condition was too critical for her to be detained. Despite this assessment, Baimalong Forced Labor Camp still admitted her. On November 27, Ms. Liu's family went to the labor camp to drop off some winter clothes for her. Guard Ning Li sent the clothes back and said the family couldn't leave anything for her.

We ask that people pay attention to the inhuman treatment this lady has been subjected to and help her regain her freedom.
