Additional Persecution News from China – January 7, 2013 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 14 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 9 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Xinxiang, Henan Province] Six Practitioners Illegally Sentenced

All six practitioners from Xinxiang City who were arrested and one non-practitioner were illegally sentenced by Muye District Court officials. 78-year-old Ms. Zhao Meizhen was sentenced to four years of forced labor and sent to Xinxiang City Detention Center. However, detention center officials refused to take her and she was sent home. Everyone else had their sentences suspended and were released on December 31.

2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liang Haoyang Detained

Mr. Liang Haoyang from the Daoli District was arrested by Zhaolin Police Station on December 15, 2012 for clarifying the facts. He is being held in Yaziquan.

3. [Huangshi, Hubei Province] Mr. Luo Wen Unjustly Sentenced to Seven Years of Imprisonment

Mr. Luo Wen's family received a phone call from Huangshi No. 1 Detention Center on December 27, 2012. They were told that Mr. Luo had been sentenced to a seven-year prison term. Accompanied by friends and relatives, his elderly mother went to the court to hear the verdict, but court personnel refused to give them anything and drove them out.

4. [Chongqing] Mr. Wang Cunyou Arrested

Mr. Wang Cunyou was arrested by Chongqing Domestic Security Division officers on January 5, 2013, and his home was ransacked.

5. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Illegal Actions of Officers from Mamuchi Township Police Station

Wang Yanbing from Mamuchi Township Police Station brought a group of people to break into Ms. Meng Xiangling's house on December 15, 2012. They then locked the main door from inside, ransacked the place, and took Ms. Meng back to Yishui Detention Center where she was persecuted for 15 days. She is now back at home.

Police officer Wang Yanbing and others broke into Ms. Wang Ailing's house that same day. They ransacked the place and confiscated several Dafa books.

Wang Yanbing brought a group of people to break into Ms. Liu Guizhen's house and arrested her on November 19, 2012. Ms. Liu was then taken to Linyi Detention Center and persecuted for 15 days. She is now back at home.

6. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Mr. Du Xiangzhong Detained

Mr. Du Xiangzhong and his wife were arrested on the afternoon of January 5 for distributing calendars that contained truth clarifying information in a certain village in Ju County. The couple was monitored separately. His wife escaped. It is not known where Mr. Du is currently being held. The couple's car was confiscated.

7. [Dandong, Liaoning Province] Mr. Han Chunlong Holds a Hunger Strike to Protest Persecution

Mr. Han Chunlong is holding a hunger strike in Dandong No. 1 Detention Center to protest the persecution. He is now very feeble.

8. [Jincheng City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Guo Guoping and Ms. Li Lianying Detained

Ms. Guo Guoping, 58, and Ms Li Lianying, 48, were arrested by officers from the Donggou Police Station on the afternoon of January 5 for distributing truth clarifying materials in Donggou Town, Zezhou County. They were subsequently transferred to Zezhou County Domestic Security Division. That night, both of their homes were ransacked by the head of Cheng District, Jincheng City 610 Office, Zhou Jianxin, and other police officers. Ms. Guo and Ms. Li are now detained in Jincheng City Detention Center.

9. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Mr. Ren Bingli and His Wife, Ms. Sun Lixin, Sentenced to Forced Labor

Mr. Ren Bingli and Ms. Sun Lixin were arrested on April 23, 2012, at the factory they owned. Their house was ransacked. Ms. Liu Jun, who works for them, was also arrested. Ms. Sun and Ms. Liu were sentenced to forced labor for one and a half years and one year respectively. They are now in Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp.

In late October 2012, Kuancheng District Court secretly tried and sentenced Mr. Ren to a three-and-a-half-year prison term.

10. [Zunhua, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yandong Detained

Ms. Wang Yandong was arrested on the night of January 3 for handing out truth clarifying DVDs in the urban district. She is now detained at Zunhua City Detention Center.

11. [Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang] Ms. Fu Fengmei and Ms. Zhao Yujie Detained

Ms. Fu Fengmei and Ms. Zhao Yujie from the Yangming District went to Dafuyuan to hand out truth clarifying materials on the afternoon of December 29, 2012. They were arrested by Zu Xuezhi and other officers from Gongjiao Police Department. On the night of December 30, Ms. Zhao's house was ransacked. At present, both of them are detained at Xinglong No. 2 Detention Center.

12. [Anyue County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Liu Quan Still Detained

Mr. Liu Quan was arrested by the Anyue Domestic Security Division and sent to Erehu Brainwashing Center. A few days later, he was transferred to Chengdu City and no one knows his current whereabouts. Mr. Jing Changxu, who was arrested at the same time, is still being persecuted at Erehu.
