(Minghui.org) I am 79 years old, and I began practicing Dafa in 1996. After the Communist Party launched a brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners on July 20, 1999, I decided to go to Beijing to tell people the facts of Falun Gong to counter the Party's lies and propaganda.
Master said,
“... if people's minds contain thoughts that resist Dafa, once this evil drama is over a large number of human beings will begin to be weeded out, and people who have a predestined relationship to obtain the Fa or even a larger number of innocent people might be weeded out.” (“A Message” in Essentials for Further Advancement II)
After studying Master's Fa, I understand that our cultivation practice is not merely for our own consummation. It is to help Master rectify the Fa and save countless sentient beings from different celestial bodies. This is the responsibility and mission of Dafa practitioners in the Fa-rectification period. Therefore, I will be more diligent to take every opportunity to offer salvation to sentient beings rationally.
One day, I was on the bus and had no one to talk with. I said to myself, “People should do more good deeds.” Then someone replied, “Nowadays, if you do good deeds, you would have nothing to eat.” He asked me, “Do you believe in any religion?” I said, “I practice Falun Gong.” Then he started to defame Falun Gong. His partner said, “He is in charge of arresting Falun Gong practitioners.” I did not feel afraid at all. I said, “All right. Let me tell you the facts about Falun Gong. You should know that Falun Gong practitioners do things according to the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They are good people. When beaten and insulted, they do not fight back.” He did not argue with me. Regardless of what he does, I thought that he would learn something after hearing the truth.
Regardless of where I went, I talked with people regardless of their age or profession. One day, I helped 60 people quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. It is Master who does everything through me.
Resisting Persecution with Righteous Thoughts
One day a few years ago, I was arrested when I was handing out booklets. In fact, before I left home that day, Master had already given me a hint. However, I did not get it. After I left home and got on the bus, a few minutes later, the bus driver asked me to get off. I thought it was some interference and didn't treat it seriously.
I was held in the detention center after being arrested. I did not cooperate with the evil, and instead, I studied the Fa, did the exercises, told people about Dafa, and helped them quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Dozens of criminals agreed to quit. Whenever they saw me, they said, “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!”
One year later, I was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison. On the way to prison, I thought, “I will go home. I won't go anywhere else.” I kept sending forth righteous thoughts and telling everyone around me the facts about Dafa. I also asked Master for help. When I was undergoing the physical examination in prison, my blood pressure was as high as 280, and my heart was not working properly. The prison refused to accept me. The police did not believe that I was ill and asked another doctor to examine me. This time, I was not diagnosed with any health problems and was about to be detained in prison. However, Master had arranged for everything. It turned out that the person who did all the paperwork was the doctor who gave me the first examination. He treated me as a patient. During the night, I was taken back to the detention center. Two weeks later, I was taken home by my son.
One year later, agents from the local 610 Office broke into my home and tried to take me to a brainwashing center. However, I refused to go and told them the facts about Dafa. In the meantime, I sent forth righteous thoughts and asked Master for help. They threatened me, saying that if I did not agree to go with them, they would drag me away. I was not afraid and shouted, “How dare you! Divine beings are watching you!” I sat down in the full lotus position and sent forth righteous thoughts. Shortly afterwards, they became afraid and left.
Helping Fellow Practitioners Who Fall Behind
Master said,
“And then there are a number of people who are like this: they too haven't stepped forward all along, but have been hiding at home and reading [Dafa] books, and have even been making excuses for doing that, when the truth is, it's their fear at work. I hope that the other Dafa disciples in Mainland China will help these people and ask them to step forward and do what a Dafa disciple should do.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference”)
Master does not want to give up on even one practitioner. We are helping Master rectify the Fa, and it is certainly our responsibility to help practitioners who have fallen behind. I started to try to help a practitioner who used to be very diligent. After the persecution started, due to fear, he did not dare to step forward. I tried to talk to him about quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations. He was upset and said, “It is hard to become a Party member. I was a Party member prior to cultivation. What does it have to do with that?” I did not argue with him and waited a while before talking to him again.
The Chinese New Year was around the corner, and I again went to his home. I saw the red Lantern and red couplets on his door. I said, “This is the wicked Party's red, which is used to pretend peace.” He was upset again, “I did not put those there. Why are you always criticizing me? I do not visit other people as often as you. I study the Fa by myself at home. What I learn is what I will become.” Hearing that, I left, but I would not give up.
The third time I brought Master's new article “My Thanks to Sentient Beings Who Have Sent Greetings.” I recited from Master's article for him.
“I sincerely hope that all of my Dafa disciples will achieve Consummation!”
This time, he finally understood. Immediately, he agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Moreover, he helped his family members, relatives, and colleagues to quit the CCP as well. Now he has a list of people's names who want to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations every day, and he hands out more Dafa information. He said that he will try his best to make up for his faults by being diligent. Recently, his wife also stepped forward after being influenced by him. Every weekend, she goes with him to hand out booklets and help people quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
Sleeping Only Two Hours a Day to Waste No Time in Cultivation Practice
My schedule is very tight. Normally, I spend the day outside helping people quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. When I come back home, I listen to Master's lectures. I spend the hour before midnight doing the meditation exercise, followed by sending forth righteous thoughts. Then I listen to Master's lectures for another half-hour before going to sleep. I get up at three o'clock in the morning. I sleep at most for two hours and have enough time to study the Fa.
Spending more time studying the Fa is very beneficial. Whenever you encounter some problems, you are able to deal with it well with a kind heart. It is Master's compassion that made me, a person who used to be full of karma, become what I am today. I sincerely thank Master for my salvation. I always say to myself that only by working diligently in cultivation practice, am I worthy of Master's salvation.
At last, I hope that all Dafa practitioners can fulfill their vows through righteous thoughts and behavior so that we can return home with Master. Thank you, Master! Thank you, fellow practitioners!
