(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 7 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 13 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tongling, Anhui Province] Ms. Xia Yufang Tortured in Brainwashing Center

The Tongling 610 Office has held brainwashing sessions in the Yijia Kuaijie Hotel in Tongling for a long time. Currently, Ms. Xia Yufang is being detained and tortured there.

2. [Tanghe County, Henan Province] Mr. Luo Jiuhe on Hunger Strike in Detention Center

Mr. Luo Jiuhe from Tongzhaipu Township was taken to the Tanghe Detention Center on the afternoon of September 8, 2012, after he collected signatures to request his sister-in-law's release. Mr. Luo is on a hunger strike in the detention center.

3. [Zhengding County, Hebei Province] Many Falun Gong Practitioners Tortured

At the end of July 2012, the Hebei Police Department ordered the Zhengding County 610 Office and the county police department to form a special unit to investigate the incident of villagers collecting 700 fingerprints on a petition to release arrested Falun Gong practitioners. The special unit has arrested 15 Falun Gong practitioners and their family members. The practitioners and their family members were covered by black head covers and secretly taken away.

In police custody, practitioners were subjected to the iron chair torture, deprived of sleep for a long time, brutally beaten and shocked with electric batons.

Three Falun Gong practitioners were transferred to a forced labor camp on August 29, 2012. The forced labor camp refused to accept Ms. Zheng Jianzhi, one of the practitioners who had been brutally beaten, because of her poor physical condition.

Mr. Jia Zhijiang's and his wife Li Rongmei's whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. Sun Hongzhu was arrested at home on September 7, 2012.

5. [Chongqing] Mr. Dai Xianming and Mr. Zheng Bang Detained

Mr. Dai Xianming and Mr. Zheng Bang from Yongchuan District were arrested and taken to the local police department on the morning of September 8, 2012. They were transferred to the Yongchuan Detention Center that afternoon.

6. [Shenzhen, Guangdong Province] Mr. Li Hongzhou Sentenced to 4 Years in Prison

Mr. Li Hongzhou was sentenced to 4 years in prison by the Futian Court in Shenzhen.

7. [Longkou, Shandong Province] Ms. Tang Jurong Detained

Ms. Tang Juying, in her 50s, was arrested by officers from the Lutou Police Station while she spoke to people about Falun Gong in a market in Lutou Town on the morning of September 5, 2012. That afternoon, the police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong materials. Ms. Tang is being held in the Longkou Detention Center.

8. [Chibi, Hubei Province] Ms. Su Yaming Arrested

Several plainclothes policemen rushed into Ms. Su Yaming's home on the night of September 9, 2012, and arrested Ms. Su. They also confiscated her computer and other personal belongings.

9. [Chongqing] Ms. Xu Linfen, Ms. Xia Jiesheng and Ms. Zou Hualan Arrested

Ms. Xu Linfen, Ms. Xia Jiesheng and Ms. Zou Hualan were arrested in Nanan District on September 7, 2012.

10. [Anqiu, Shandong Province] Ms. Wu Lanmei Held in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Wu Lanmei from Anqiu was arrested by the Domestic Security Division agents on the morning of September 7, 2012. She is being held in the Danshan Brainwashing Center in Anqiu.

11. [Dazhou, Sichuan Province] Five Practitioners Held in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Wang Jingcui and Mr. Li Mingmi were followed and arrested by plainclothes police while they spoke to people about Falun Gong on August 27, 2012. They are being held in the Dazhou Brainwashing Center. Mr. Chen Kaixiang, Mr. Gao Wei and Ms. Gou Ying are also being detained there.
