(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in Sydney, Australia were invited to perform at the Bowral Tulip Time Street Parade on September 22, 2012.
Bowral is about 70 miles from Sydney and is famous for its tulips. Many tourists from around the world come to the tulip parade each year. This is the ninth year that Falun Gong practitioners have participated in the parade. The Falun Gong performances were warmly welcomed by the spectators, and many people asked for more information about the practice.
People were shocked upon learning of the brutal organ harvesting in China. One Australian gentleman said, “I didn't know that the Communist Party was so brutal. From what I saw on TV, they looked good. But they torture their own people in such a brutal way.”
Many people signed the petition, expressing their support for Falun Gong. One young man asked what a prisoner of conscience is. Practitioners told him that they are innocent people who are jailed for their beliefs.
Practitioner Xiaoyu said, “Many citizens in Bowral know about Falun Gong and support us. Almost everyone who passed by our booth signed our petition. I myself collected 80 signatures in one hour.”
