Additional Persecution News from China – September 12, 2012 (22 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 10 provinces. In this report, 12 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 23 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Beijing] Five Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested

Domestic Security Division police arrested several practitioners on August 20, 2012, including Ms. Yang Zongting, Ms. Liu Xiaoqin, Ms. Fu Yixian, Mr. Li Dasen, and Mr. Ma. Ms. Yang was later sent to Beijing Police Hospital.

2. [Chongqing] Mr. Dai Xianmin and Mr. Zheng Bangdi Detained

When Yongchuan District practitiones Mr. Dai Xianmin and Mr. Zheng Bangdi clarified the truth on the morning of September 7, local 610 Office agents arrested them and took them to a detention center.

3. [Tang County, Hebei Province] Ms. Gao Changqiu on Hunger Strike at Handan Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Gao Changqiu is currently held at the Handan Forced Labor Camp. She has been on a hunger strike for nearly two months and is very weak.

4. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhou Xiuling, a practitioner at Zhoujia Village of Jitai Town, was arrested on the morning of September 6, 2012. On the same morning, Mr. Liu Hongjun and Ms. Sun Ruwen were arrested and their homes were ransacked. Mr. Sun Hongzhu was arrested on September 7.

5. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Weijing Detained

Tongjiangkou Township Police Station head Sun Sheng arrested 60-year-old practitioner Ms. Liu Weijing on the morning of September 5, 2012. When Sun Sheng brutally beat Ms. Liu, her shoulder was damaged and even now she still cannot raise her arm. In addition, large chunks of her hair have fallen out. Sun Sheng also took away Ms. Liu's laptop computer, printer, and 1,445 yuan. Ms. Liu was then held at the Tieling City Detention Center.

6. [Shanghai] Mr. Nie Guangfeng Arrested

When 62-year-old Minhang District practitioner Mr. She Guangfeng clarified the truth on September 8, 2012, Zhabei District State Security Bureau agents arrested him. Police agents then went to ransack his home but did not find what they were looking for. When they attempted to confiscated his daughter's laptop computer, she resisted and the agents could not take it away.

7. [Chongqing] Ms. Wang Qiaolin and Other Practitioners Arrested

Twenty-three practitioners were arrested on August 18, including Ms. Wang Qiaolin, who was two or three months pregnant. Her husband Mr. Yin Miao was also arrested on the same day and their current whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Penglai City, Shandong Province] Domestic Security Division Agents Arrested Ms. Bai Li

Domestic Security Division agents arrested Ms. Bai Li on a street on the morning of September 10, 2012 and then ransacked her home.

9. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Dai Zhongwen Arrested

Jinzhou City 610 Office agents arrested Guta District practitioner Mr. Dai Zhongwen at home on the evening of August 31, 2012, and later detained him at the Jinzhou Detention Center.

10. [Shenhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wang Qin Detained for Over a Year

Ms. Wang Qin, a practitioner from Wuhan City in Hubei Province, went to work as a designer at a company in Buji Town of Shenzhen City. Police arrested her at work on May 24, 2011, and detained her at the Bulonggang Detention Center in Shenzhen for over one year. When her family called a judge at Longgang District Court, they were told Ms. Wang had been sentenced to a three-year prison term.

11. [Xintian County, Hunan Province] Ms. Jiang Meilan Sent to Brainwashing Center

Under instructions from the Xintian County 610 Office, Domestic Security Division head Tang Chongsheng arrested Ms. Jiang Meilan. Police then sent her to Zhongqinglu Brainwashing Center in Changsha City.

12. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Lanqin Detained

Mr. Zhang Lanqin is a practitioner from Beihuapen Village at Qianmotou Town. Six police officers arrested her on August 15, 2012, and she has been detained at the Hengshui Detention Center since then.

13. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Qin Yuelin Arrested

Mr. Qin Yuelin was arrested by Nanfangying Police on the afternoon of September 10, 2012.

14. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Liu Ying and Ms. Zhang Ziying Arrested

Four plainclothes agents arrested Ms. Liu Ying at her daughter’s place on the morning of August 27, 2012. Ms. Liu is currently detained at Beige Restaurant Brainwashing Center.

Six plainclothes officers went to Ms. Zhang Ziying’s home on the morning of August 28. They arrested her and ransacked her home. Ms. Zhang’s whereabouts are currently unknown.

15. [Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Jiqiu and Ms. Yang Xiaolin Mistreated in Provincial Women’s Prison

Guards put Ms. Zhang Jiqiu in solitary confinement on July 19, 2012.

Ms. Yang Xiaolin was put in solitary confinement in November 2011 for doing the sitting meditation. Because of the cold temperature in the cell, her heart diseases recurred and she was sent to a hospital.

16. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wu Lianmei Held in Brainwashing Center

More than 10 police agents went to Ms. Wu Lianmei’s home on the morning of September 6. They arrested her and held her at the Danshan Brainwashing Center.

17. [Renshou County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Suwen Arrested

Ms. Li Suwen, in her 50s, was arrested on the afternoon of September 4, 2012.

18. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Jiang Zhongxun Arrested

Police arrested Longgang District practitioner Mr. Jiang Zhongxun on the morning of September 10 and held him at the Huludao Detention Center.

19. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Yuying Arrested

When Ms. Wang Yuying posted truth-clarification materials on the afternoon of September 9, plainclothes agents followed her and arrested her. Police ransacked her home and confiscated a laptop computer as well as some Falun Gong materials.

20. [Mengjin County, Henan Province] Ms. Xue Zhen and Ms. Xi Zhen Detained

When Ms. Xue Zhen and Ms. Xi Zhen told people the facts about Falun Gong on August 19, police arrested them. They are currently being held at the Mengjin Detention Center.

21. [Tongling City, Anhui Province] Mr. Wang Fujiu and His Wife Arrested

Mr. Wang Fujiu, in his 70s, and his wife were arrested by police in early September. Their whereabouts are currently unknown.

22. [Peng’an County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Shuwen Held in Brainwashing Center

Agents from Peng'an County State Security Bureau arrested Ms. Wang Shuwen in early 2012. She was first held at the Peng'an Detention Center and then transferred to the Xishan Brainwashing Center in Nanchong City.
