Additional Persecution News from China – August 30, 2012 (25 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 24 cities or counties and in 12 provinces. In this report, 25 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 25 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Guolan Arrested

Ms. Zhao Guolan, near 70, was on the way to her daughter’s home on August 27, 2012, when she was arrested and taken to the Sanhe Village Police Station for having truth-clarifying materials in her bag. She was taken to the Yi County Detention Center. Her family was not allowed to visit her.

2. [Guilin City, Guangxi Province] Mr. Lin Juxiong Arrested and His Home Ransacked

Mr. Lin Juxiong, in his 50s, was arrested at around midnight on August 27, 2012. Tang Hongbing, captain of the Guilin Domestic Security Team, led more than ten officers to break into and ransack his home. They confiscated his computer, Falun Gong books, and Master’s picture. Nobody knows Mr. Lin's whereabouts.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] More Practitioners Arrested and Harassed

Agents from the Yushu City 610 Office and Domestic Security Team arrested and harassed more Falun Gong practitioners in Yushu on August 27 and 28, 2012. Practitioners known to be arrested include Mr. Zhang Qingxiang from Fu'an Town; Mr. Liu from Tuqiao Town; Ms. Wang Xiaohong from Xiejia Town; Mr. Yu Donghui, Mr. Ma Changqing and his daughter, Mr. Su Yucai, Ms. Yang Xiuhua, Ms. Pang Yali, Ms. Jiang Yuzhi, Ms. Jiang Yulan, and Mr. Zhang Guorong from Yushu City. In addition, Ms. Xu Yaxuan, Ms. Wu Xiaoguang, and Ms. Lin Songtao were harassed.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Luo Jinyu Sentenced to Forced Labor

Ms. Luo Jinyu was arrested on July 6, 2012 and sentenced to one year of forced labor. She was transferred to the Third Team of the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp on August 23, 2012. The next day she was sent back home for not passing the physical examination.

5. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Gu Zhaocheng Arrested

Mr. Gu Zhaocheng, 75, was arrested while clarifying the truth and distributing related materials on the morning of August 29, 2012. His family did not know that he had been arrested until officers from the Shahe Police Station ransacked his home that morning.

6. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Chunli Arrested and Sent to Forced Brainwashing Session

Agents of the Tianhe District 610 Office in Guangzhou City and personnel of the Yuancun Sub-district Office went to Ms. Chen Chunli’s home at noon on August 28, 2012 and attempted to take her. Since she did not want to go with them, they convened six policemen to ransack her home. They arrested her and took her to a brainwashing center for having Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs.

Ms. Chen Chunli was sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp in 2000, and three years in prison in 2004.

7. [Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Liang Kuiyan Still Being Held

Ms. Liang Kuiyan was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Team and Police Station while distributing truth-clarifying materials on April 10, 2012. Ms. Yan Chuanfen, was on her way to rescue fellow practitioners on the evening of April 13, 2012, and was followed and arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Team and police station. She has now returned home.

Ms. Liang has been illegally held in the Ganzhou City Detention Center for over four months. She was subjected to a trial by the Court of Criminal Tribunal on August 23, 2012. The court did not notify her family before the trial.

8. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wei Jinglong and Mr. Li Desheng Illegally Held in the Jinzhou Detention Center

9. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Shougang’s Home Ransacked on August 29, 2012.

10. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Mr. Zhang Lingge Arrested

Mr. Zhang Lingge was arrested by Changsha Lituo Town Police Station while clarifying the truth on August 24, 2012. The next day he was illegally transferred to the Changqiao Detention Center, and has been held there ever since.

11. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Chuan Arrested

Mr. Liu Chuan, from Licang District of Qingdao City, was arrested and taken to the Licang Police Station on the afternoon of August 28, 2012. Many policemen and plainclothes officers surrounded his home that night. They had the key to his home, but waited outside for him instead.

12. [Beijing] Mr. Zhu Zhiliang Arrested

Mr. Zhu Zhiliang was arrested by the Chaoyang Police Station in Beijing on August 24, 2012. His home was ransacked and one computer was confiscated.

13. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Cheng Xianjiao and Ms. Xu Xiaomei Sent to the Second Detention Center on August 22, 2012.

14. [Wenshang County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Xiurong Being Held in Shandong First Women's Forced Labor Camp

15. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Couple Arrested

Mr. Li Yanfa and his wife Ms. Li Hongling were arrested by Bai Zhengtang, the director of Douhutun Police Station, on August 23, 2012 while distributing truth-clarifying materials in the Douhutun town market of the Dongchangfu District, Liaocheng City. They are now being held in the Liaocheng City Detention Center.

16. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Su Yucai Arrested on August 28, 2012

17. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Zhi's Health Deteriorates in Prison

Ms. Liu Zhi, from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, has been held and persecuted in Liaoning Women's Prison. She is now in the prison hospital and has been persecuted to a near-skeletal state. She has to use a wheelchair to move around and has problems taking care of her own basic needs.

18. [Huining County, Gansu Province] Persecution Suffered by Ms. Chen Shuxian and Her Sister

Plainclothes officers from the Chengguan District Domestic Security Team broke into Ms. Chen Jie's home on the afternoon of June 28, 2012, by breaking the glass together with the landlord. They arrested Ms. Chen Shuxian, her sister Ms. Chen Jie, and Mr. Wang Youjiang, and took them to the Chengguan District Domestic Security Team. The three practitioners were interrogated. During the interrogation, the three of them were subjected to the tiger bench.

Ms. Chen Shuxian was released on August 24, 2012. Ms. Chen Jie is now being held in the Lanzhou First Detention Center.

19. [Taihe County, Anhui Province] Ms. Ming Xiulan Arrested

Ms. Ming Xiulan was arrested by the Domestic Security Team on August 27, 2012 and is now being held in the Taihe County Detention Center.

20. [Jiyuan City, Henan Province] Mr. Liu Fazhi and His Wife Arrested

Mr. Liu Fazhi and his wife Ms. Wang Rui were arrested on August 19, 2012 and are now illegally held in the Jiyuan City Detention Center.

21. [Zhangjiachuan County, Gansu Province] Ms. Li Wenwen and Five More Practitioners Facing Trial

Many truth-clarifying banners appeared in Longshan Town, Zhangjiachuan County, Tianshui City on April 29, 2012. Eleven Falun Gong practitioners from Longshan Town were arrested around May 27, 2012. Six of them were still being detained on August 29. They are Mr. Hong Liang, Ms. Li Wenwen, Ms. Li Fen'e, Mr. Jin Xijun, Ms. Hong Xiaolin, and Mr. Hong Ximing. They have been held ever since and are not allowed to see their families. They will soon face an illegal trial and sentencing.

22. [Zhuanglang County, Gansu Province] Mr. Xue Qiang Harassed Again

Five personnel from the Zhuanglang County 610 Office, as well as Tonghua Town government and police station, went to Mr. Xue Qiang’s home on August 28, 2012. They questioned his wife Ms. Jin Qiaoyan about his whereabouts. She replied that he had left for Xi'an City to work. They snatched her mobile phone and called Mr. Xue Qiang, saying that he should go back home immediately or they would go to Xi'an to arrest him.

23. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Guo Hongxia and Ms. Wang Yanqiu Arrested by the Dawangzhangzi Police Station on August 28, 2012

24. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Cao Jingdong Taken to Yichun Brainwashing Center

Mr. Cao Jingdong has been subjected to forced labor for one and a half years. His family went to the Suihua Forced Labor Camp to pick him up on August 23, 2012. However, officers in the labor camp said that Mr. Cao Jingdong was transferred to the Yichun Brainwashing Center that morning.

25. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Feng Wenlong and Mr. Wang Xijie Sentenced to Forced Labor

Mr. Feng Wenlong, about 25, from Fengjiazhuang Village, Andi Town, Yinan County, Linyi City, was sentenced to forced labor by the Yinan County 610 Office. Mr. Wang Xijie was sentenced to forced labor by the Ju County 610 Office.
