Additional Persecution News from China – September 3, 2012 (27 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 26 cities or counties and in 15 provinces. In this report, 15 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 28 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Huang Fuming Sent to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Huang Fuming, in his fifties, was recently arrested by agents from the Xianghe County Political and Legal Affairs Committee and sent to the Langfang Brainwashing Center.

2. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Lu Chengjun Detained

Mr. Lu Chengjun was arrested on the afternoon of August 28, 2012 at his workplace—Express Delivery Company. Officers from the Yong'an Police Station made the arrest and took him to the Laizhou Detention Center. Mr. Lu's Falun Gong books and informational materials were confiscated from his home.

3. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ten Practitioners Detained

Ten practitioners including Ms. Zhang Li were arrested at Ms. Zhang Li's home on the afternoon of August 30, 2012. Agents from the Benxi Political and Legal Affairs Committee and 610 Office made the arrest. The practitioners' personal belongings were confiscated. They are currently being held in the Dabailou Detention Center.

4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Meiling Arrested, Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Liu Meiling from Dongxihu District was arrested on the morning of August 22, 2012 as she was speaking with people about Falun Gong. Her whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Mr. Pan Jun and His Wife Arrested

Mr. Pan Jun and his wife were arrested at home on the afternoon of August 30, 2012.

6. [Shan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Jiang Xiuhua Detained

Ms. Jiang Xiuhua, in her fifties, was arrested at home on the morning of July 25, 2012. Officers from the Zhongxing Town Police Station made the arrest. Ms. Jiang is currently being held in the Shan County Detention Center.

7. [Xinyi City, Jiangsu Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Tang Hongmei was arrested on the evening of June 25, 2012. Mr. Wu Bo was arrested in August. The two practitioners were recently transferred to Xuzhou City and detained.

8. [Antu County, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Aixiu Arrested

Ms. Zhao Aixiu from Baihe Town was arrested and taken to the No. 1 Police Station of the Forestry Police Department on July 30, 2012. Her Falun Gong books were all confiscated from her home.

9. [Chongqing] Four Practitioners Detained

Officers from the Huangjueping Police Station broke into a practitioner's home on the afternoon of August 19, 2012. They ransacked the practitioner's home and arrested four practitioners including Ms. Mu Ling. The practitioners were sent to the Huayan Detention Center in Longpo District.

10. [Xiangtan, Hunan Province] Ms. Wang Yuqin Arrested, Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Wang Yuqin, in her sixties, is a retired employee at Jianglu Workers' Hospital. Yuntang Neighborhood police arrested her on August 31, 2012. Her whereabouts are unknown.

11. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Cao Yang from Xinmin City was arrested on the morning of August 28, 2012 at Xiongshi Fine Arts School. She was previously illegally imprisoned for 9 years and was released in 2010. Ms. Chen Xiu from Shenyang was also arrested. The two practitioners are currently in a detention center.

12. [Luannan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Wenhua Detained

Ms. Yang Wenhua was arrested along with her mother and aunt on August 14, 2012 as they were distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. They were released on the same day.

Ms. Yang was arrested again on August 28, and is currently in the Luannan Detention Center.

13. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Ms. Xu Yafen Detained Nearly a Year, Her Husband Imprisoned for Five Years

Ms. Xu Yafen has been detained for nearly a year, and her husband Mr. Fu Cheng has been held in Siping Prison for five years.

14. [Yantai, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhan Zhongrong Detained

Mr. Zhan Zhongrong from the Development Zone was arrested on September 1, 2012. He is currently in the Yantai Detention Center.

15. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Minjie Detained

Ms. Liu Minjie in her fifties, lives on Donglingnan Street. She was arrested on August 16, 2012, and is currently being held in the No. 3 Detention Center.

16. [Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Guan Yanfeng Detained

Ms. Guan Yanfeng was arrested on September 2, 2012, and sent to the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Center.

17. [Shanghai] Ms. Tong Xiaodi Arrested

Officers from the Wuwei County Domestic Security Division in Anhui Province recently arrested Ms. Tong Xiaodi from Shanghai and took her back to Wuwei County.

18. [Mian County, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Zhao Li Detained

Mr. Zhao Li, 45, from Beijing, lives in Xinpu Town, Mian County. He was arrested on August 29, 2012 as he was speaking with people about Falun Gong. Officers from the Ningqiang County Domestic Security Division and Xinpu Town Police Station confiscated his computer, cash and other personal belongings. Mr. Zhao is currently being held in the Ningqiang County Detention Center.

19. [Shenzhen, Guangdong Province] Mr. Sun Jiefeng Imprisoned, Mr. Deng Tiansheng Released

Mr. Sun Jiefeng and Mr. Deng Tiansheng were arrested in April 2011 at their company by Shenzhen City 610 Office agents. Longgang Court officials sentenced Mr. Sun to two years and ten months in prison, and Mr. Deng, 15 months in March 2012. Mr. Sun was sent to the Beijiang Prison in Shaoguan on August 21. Mr. Deng was released in July 2012 when his term expired.

20. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Yun Sent to Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Sun Yun, 49, was arrested on July 6, 2012 by officers from the Guilin Street Police Station. She was sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in early August for a one-year term.

21. [Meihekou City, Jilin Province] Ms. Fan Shiqing Detained

Ms. Fan Shiqing was arrested and is currently being held in the Huinan Detention Center. Her home was ransacked.

22. [Wuzhong, Ningxia Autonomous Region] Ms. Zheng Fengying Arrested

Ms. Zheng Fengying was arrested at home on September 1, 2012.

23. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Hu Shunfang Detained

Ms. Hu Shunfang spoke with people about Falun Gong and distributed informational DVDs on the afternoon of August 30, 2012. Early the next morning, the police ransacked her home and arrested her. Ms. Hu was sent to the Kunshan Detention Center for two weeks.

24. [Honghu City, Hubei Province] Six Practitioners Arrested and Released

Six practitioners including Mr. Li Dayao, Mr. Yan Yonggui and Ms. Yang Jiaoer from Jianli County were arrested on the evening of August 25, 2012 as they distributed informational materials about Falun Gong in Qujiawan Town. Officers from the Qujiawan Police Station made the arrest. The practitioners have been released. Their two motorcycles were impounded.

25. [Gaoan, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Peng Feng Arrested in Late 2005, Whereabouts Still Unknown

26. [Qujing, Yunnan Province] Mr. Chen Zhishuang Arrested

Mr. Chen Zhishuang, 69, was arrested on the morning of August 28, 2012 by officers from the Xuanwei Domestic Security Division. His home was ransacked.

27. [Nanjing, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Xia Jianguo Sent to Forced Labor Camp

Jiangsu Province 610 Office agents arrested Mr. Xia Jianguo in April 2012 and took him to the Xinghua Brainwashing Center. Mr. Xia was recently transferred to the Fangqiang Forced Labor Camp.
