I Was Healed of Uremia by Practicing Falun Dafa

(Minghui.org) I am a 60-year-old housewife who resides in the countryside of China. In July 1997, I developed kidney disease and had edema throughout much of my body. After examination by several leading experts in well-known hospitals, I was diagnosed as having uremia. Doctors said that I could not be healed and told my family to prepare for my funeral. At that time, my arms and legs were swelling and it was difficult to bend them. I could not walk at all. I did not eat or drink anything for 8 days. My family had already prepared for my funeral. I was lying in bed waiting for death.

At that time, my son said to me, “Mom, why not try practicing Falun Dafa? It does not cost any money.” Considering that is was free, I decided to have a try. Thus, I began practicing Falun Dafa. At first, my younger daughter read the book Zhuan Falun to me after returning home from school. However, I could not understand much of it and I became frustrated and felt like giving up. She said, “It’s up to you. I will learn it myself.” On one occasion, when my daughter was studying the Fa, I heard her read a paragraph which said to never curse or beat people. I was thinking that the principle of never cursing or beating people was so good. Thus, I asked my daughter to read Zhuan Falun to me again. As she read, I felt cold air coming out from the top of my head. I also felt as if I were hit by ice on the top of my head. At that time, I did not know that Teacher was helping me purify my body and I complained, “Who hit me? I was going to die!” Then I felt as if someone was drilling into my back. I was in great pain, but after awhile, I was able to walk. I washed my face and started to walk around. My mother-in-law saw me and told all my relatives and neighbors that I was going to die shortly. I said to her, “Please don’t worry, Mom. I am hungry and I want to eat!” So she made me a big bowl of rice and I finished it at once.

The next day, I tried to find the local Falun Dafa practice site. My family members helped me by carrying me to the site, since I could not yet walk any great distance by myself. On the third day, I started to ride a bicycle to the practice site, but was stopped by my children on the way. They were worried about me going there alone. On the fourth day, Teacher helped me purify my body further. I had a fever for a whole night. My body was as hot as fire. I was sitting in cold water and the temperature of the water went up rapidly, and steam was coming up from the water. On the fifth day, I was totally fine. I could ride my bike again to the practice site. I told all my neighbors, “Falun Dafa is good! It is Dafa that saved my life!”
