(Minghui.org) The Tanghai County Court in Hebei Province sentenced Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zheng Xiangxing to a ten-year prison term around July 26, 2012. Once the news of his arrest became known, local residents were angered and initiated a third petition calling for Mr. Zheng's release.

As people were applying their fingerprints to the petition letter, someone said, “Pressing fingerprints on this letter can get our heads cut off.” While the comment shows that people in China have a clear understanding of the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), it also emphasizes the fact that people still have a conscience that encourages them to do the right thing even if it means facing persecution by the Chinese Communist regime.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zheng Xiangxing owns a small electronic appliance store at Shi Farm in Tanghai County. Zheng has a very good reputation in the area and is well known for doing business honestly. He was arrested on February 25, 2012 because he practices Falun Gong. Later, 562 local citizens signed a petition demanding his release. This incident caused quite a reaction both nationally and internationally. In mid-July, after learning that Mr. Zheng was in critical condition from being tortured in prison, over 1,200 citizens from eight townships in two counties in Tangshan and Qinhuangdao signed petitions for a second time demanding that government authorities release Mr. Zheng.
However, ignoring the law and the signatures of over a thousand petitioners, the court sentenced Mr. Zheng to a ten-year prison term. Local residents were angered by the injustice. Some said, “Common people have no place to find justice.” A 70-year-old woman stated, “Sentencing such a good person to ten years in prison? What kind of world is this? This society is done for.” Local citizens are now again joining together to sign a petition demanding the release of Mr. Zheng, and to let the relevant authorities know, “Dafa practitioners are good people.”
During the 13-year persecution of Falun Gong in China, the CCP has fabricated rumors to slander Falun Gong through state-run TV stations, newspapers, and school textbooks, even down to the walls of farmhouses in the countryside. Everything is being used as propaganda against Falun Gong. However, Dafa practitioners have steadfastly continued their efforts to clarify the truth to the public, and now the CCP lies have nearly and completely crumbled. People now not only dare to openly say that people who practice Falun Gong are good people and oppose the persecution, they have also bravely stood up for Falun Gong practitioners by taking part in numerous rescue efforts. They have not hesitated even though they know that they may face retribution from the CCP for their actions. This is a direct indication that the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong has completely failed.:
