(Minghui.org) Mr. Li Ergang is a Falun Gong practitioner in Dongliuqing Village, Li County, Hebei Province who is being detained in the Handan Forced Labor Camp. When Mr. Li's wife went to Handan Forced Labor Camp to visit her husband for the second time, she was surprised to see that he had changed a lot. He had become emaciated, he lost his focus, and he appeared to be confused. No matter what she said, he showed no facial expression, all he said to her was: “I don't know.” During the whole meeting, he kept saying: “I don't know, I won't be transformed, I won't sign it.”
At 8 p.m. on April 23, 2012, people from the Li County Police Bureau, Domestic Security Department and the Li County 610 Office and the police station arrested Mr. Li and took him to Handan Forced Labor Camp for detention. Within one month, he was tortured into this condition.
Mr. Li 's parents are 80 years old, and his child is still young. When doing business, he used to work very diligently and was highly trusted by others. What a tragedy this is for such a harmonious family. It was only because he practiced Falun Gong that he was seized and detained at Handan Forced Labor Camp. Because their son was arrested, his parents have been crying every day, and his wife has had to take care of her family and their business all by herself. She also went to ask for others' help by using their connections and has spent a lot of money to try to get Mr. Li released.
Since incidents of people from Handan Forced Labor Camp torturing Falun Gong practitioners have often been heard, Mr. Li's wife is truly worried about her husband's situation.
Because Mr. Zhao Zhanzhong from Shen County, Hebei Province had refused to write the so-called Four Statements at Handan Forced Labor Camp, guards Zuo Tao and Zeng Yiwei beat and punched him. They hit his head and face very hard, kicked him all over his body, shocked him with electric batons and beat him with rubber clubs.
Mr. Guo Shechang from Daming County often shouted: "Falun Dafa is wonderful!" As a result, police officers from Handan Police Station took him to a "Police Officer Club" on the ground floor which has two empty rooms used for torturing Falun Gong practitioners. They beat him for more than an hour. After that, four to five people carried him back to his dorm on the third floor. From then on, he had become bed-ridden, and he couldn't take care of himself. People from the Forced Labor Camp also sent people to watch him around the clock to stop him from having contact with others.
Mr. Zhang Wenliang from Tangshan City, 61 years old, was with a battalion who used to manage launching missiles in the Liaoning Army. Later he was transferred to Tangshan Food Factory to be a cadre. When Mr. Zhang was held at Handan Forced Labor Camp, because he persisted in practicing Falun Gong and refused to be transformed, he was subjected to inhuman torture from the police officers. One time police officers Gao Jinli, Zuo Tao, Zeng Yiwei, Zhang Wenshan, Lin Tao and others tied him up in a cross shape. They put two electric batons from his front collar all the way down to his front chest, and then shocked his front body, armpits, inside of his legs, and penis. As a result, his body was completely burned, and they didn't leave a single spot intact.
Those exposed persecution cases make Mr. Li's family members worry about his safety even more. Mr. Li's wife, his elderly mother and other relatives are all very worried about his situation.
