(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners have been clarifying the truth for 13 years in China, and now the police in my residential area are awakening. Some of them have condemned the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong, openly refused to illegally arrest Falun Gong practitioners, and protected practitioners within the scope of their duties.
Some time ago, the 610 Office in my area, claiming it was necessary to “maintain stability,” ordered the police to initiate a new round of arrests of practitioners registered on the blacklist.
Before he understood the facts, a police officer in my region once persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. The practitioners he persecuted did not hate him. Instead, they benevolently clarified the truth to him. He always received cordial welcomes whenever he visited practitioners' houses to carry out his duties and "official business" as ordered by his superior. The practitioners told him about how they try to be good people according to the principles of Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance, about Falun Gong’s miraculous power to heal illnesses, and how Falun Gong purifies the human mind and promotes high moral standards. From these practitioners, the police officer witnessed the power of benevolence, and he now thoroughly understands that the CCP slander of Falun Gong is bogus.
Another time, this officer was ordered by his superior to arrest Falun Gong practitioners in his jurisdiction. He refused right away, saying, "They are good people. Why would we arrest them? I won’t do it." His superior replied, "If you don't want to, I will have other officers do it." Hearing this, the officer knew that some practitioners would be arrested and that he would not be able to prevent it. However, he was still able to inform the practitioners ahead of time. It turned out that his superior was unable to locate any of the practitioners, and none of them were arrested at that time. With the officer's assistance, the practitioners in the region were protected.
