(Minghui.org) Dalian Jinzhou New District Police from Harbin Road Station arrested seven Falun Gong practitioners from the Jinzhou New District Stadium Residential Complex on July 6, 2012. The practitioners were all members of the Ma family, and included Mr. Ma Ruitian and his wife Xiao Guilan (both in their seventies), their oldest daughter Ma Aibing and her husband Han Xueming, second daughter Ma Aixiong and her husband, and their youngest daughter Ma Aiying. The police threatened that they would ruin the family.
Mr. Ma and his son-in-law Han Xueming are now being detained at Daheishan Detention Center in Dalian. Ms. Xiao Guilan (Mrs. Ma) and oldest daughter Ma Aibing are detained in Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian. Ma Aixiong and her husband, and younger sister Ma Aiying have been released.
Mr. Ma, His Wife, and Second Daughter Arrested
On the morning of July 6, 2012, officers Kong Shixue and Xing Tianbao of Harbin Road Police Station, with more than 20 people, went to Mr. Ma’s house. After they arrested Mr. Ma Ruitian outside his house and took his house key, they entered his home and arrested his wife Xiao Guilan. They also confiscated 170,000 yuan in cash, three bank cards, a number of Falun Gong books, several cell phones, and a computer and printer.
Mr. Ma Ruitian sustained severe injuries during a car accident in 1983, and was paralyzed and bedridden for years. His wife became the only means of financial support in their family of three young daughters. Life was hard. Mr. Ma recovered after he began practicing Falun Gong. He was again able to do physical work and could help his wife care for the kids. The family regained their happiness and joy in life.
Two Other Daughters Arrested
When their second daughter, Ma Aixiong, heard of her parents' arrests, she quickly rushed home and saw the aftermath of the search. She asked the two dozen strangers in her parents' home, “Who are you? Why are you searching our house?” Before she could ask another question, she heard “Shut up,” and she was pushed to the floor by officer Xing Tianbao and others, and her hands were cuffed behind her back.
When Ma Aiying, the youngest daughter, arrived, she was also arrested and handcuffed behind her back. When the sisters were taken to Harbin Road Police Station, Ma Aiying asked the police to let her go home. A police officer slapped her face twice and threatened, “Watch it! Your older sister and her husband have already been arrested.” Another officer added, “We will ruin your family and everyone will be killed.”
Older Daughter and Husband Arrested
Ma Aibing and her husband Han Xueming heard a knock on the door on the morning of July 6, 2012. A man said their car was blocking traffic downstairs. When Mr. Han opened the door, someone suddenly kicked him down to the floor. When Ma Aibing went outside to see what happened, she was grabbed by several people and arrested. The police took an unknown amount of cash (Ma Aibing was a businesswoman) and their cell phones, Falun Gong books, and a game machine. After the couple were arrested, their teenaged son was followed by someone. When the boy confronted the stalker, the man ran away.
Over Seventy Practitioners Arrested
On July 6, 2012, Dalian City 610 Office, Political and Legal Affairs Committee, Police and Domestic Security Department, along with local police launched a campaign to arrest Falun Gong practitioners. Over 70 practitioners were arrested in Dalian City, Development Zone, Jinzhou District, Wafangdian District and Changhai County.
Practitioner Ms. Li Fang happened to be visiting Ma Ruitian, and she was also detained. When the police dragged her outside, Li Fang protested loudly, “Falun Gong taught us to be good people, and not to do bad things. Why do you arrest me?” As one police officer fiercely slapped her face, she continued to protest. Another policeman forcibly covered her face with a cloth and threw her into a van. She was forced underneath a seat, and had her hands cuffed behind her back. A bystander who watched Ms. Li being abused this way shook her head and said, “So cruel! She could suffocate and die in such hot weather!”
