Additional Persecution News from China – July 17, 2012 (28 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 26 cities or counties in 13 provinces. According to this report, 7 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 49 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Kunming, Yunnan Province] Mr. Jiang Runlin Arrested

Mr. Jiang Runlin was arrested by Ma Yunhui, Ma Bin and other officers from the Domestic Security Division at noon on July 13, 2012, while he was on his way home from work. His home was ransacked. The police confiscated his computer, Falun Gong books, and other personal property.

2. [Yantai, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Yanchun Arrested

Ms. Sun Yanchun was arrested on July 15, 2012.

3. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Mr. Ye Shuhui, Wife and Son Detained

Several policemen from the Harbinlu Police Station and the Zhongchang Police Station came to Mr. Ye Shuhui's home on Zhongchang Street in Jinzhou, Dalian, and arrested Mr. Ye, his wife Ms. Li Fang and his son Mr. Ye Fei on the night of July 6, 2012.

Mr. Ye Fei is not a Falun Gong practitioner. The police punched him in the right eye socket and temple when he tried to resist arrest. The officers also beat Mr. Ye Shuhuito until he was unable to walk.

The police confiscated the family's two printers, two computers and about 10,000 yuan in cash. All three members of the family are being held in the Sanji Detention Center in Jinzhou.

4. [Fujin, Heilongjiang Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Yuan Yulong, Mr. Liu Zhiyuan, Ms. You Jinying, Ms. Gao Yumin and Ms. Xiao Yang were arrested when they went to Suibin County to distribute informational materials about Falun Gong on the night of July 16, 2012.

5. [Beipiao, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhuang Yuli and Ms. Tian Fengwen Arrested

About 30 policemen from the Xiguan Town Police Station in Beipiao took part in the arrest of Ms. Zhuang Yuli on the morning of July 16, 2012. Ms. Tian Fengwen from Pingfang was arrested at the same time.

6. [Dezhou, Shandong Province] Mr. Fan Yudong Sent to Shandong First Forced Labor Camp

Mr. Fan Yudong from Ling County, Dezhou, was taken to the Dezhou Detention Center on April 29, 2012. He was transferred to the Shandong First Forced Labor Camp for a term of one year on May 31, 2012.

7. [Huangmei, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Dongxian Passes Away as a Result of Persecution

Ms. Chen Dongxian from Xiaochi Town, Huangmei, suffered many years of persecution for her faith in Falun Gong. She passed away at the age of 64 in mid-May 2012.

8. [Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Fusheng Transferred to Tumuji Forced Labor Camp

The Hailar Forced Labor Camp transferred Mr. Liu Fusheng to the Tumuji Forced Labor Camp. His family was not informed.

9. [Renqiu, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yuming Sent to Langfang Brainwashing Center

Ms. Wang Yuming is an employee of the Bohai Petroleum Professional College in Renqiu. She went to Beijing to visit her daughter around June 1, 2012. When she arrived in Beijing, she was checked for identification and then arrested and taken to the Jizhong Police Department. Police ransacked her home and confiscated her computer and Falun Gong books. She was transferred to the Langfang Brainwashing Center on July 10, 2012.

10. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Jiqing Detained

Mr. Liu Jiqing was arrested in Jinzhou on July 6, 2012. He is being held in the Yaojia Detention Center.

11. [Tonghua, Jilin Province] Mr. Yan Guozhu and Mr. Yang Lianguo Arrested

Mr. Yan Guozhu and Mr. Yang Lianguo from Meihekou, Tonghua, were arrested and taken to a brainwashing class held in the Tonghua Hotel on July 14, 2012.

12. [Gaizhou, Liaoning Province] Six Practitioners Arrested and Detained

Mr. Li Xingjun, Mr. Cheng Yankai, Mr. Huang, Mr. Wang Ying, Ms. Li Ling and Ms. Ni went to Beiyang to produce informational materials about Falun Gong on the night of July 14, 2012. They were reported to police and arrested by officers from the Wanfu Police Station.

Mr. Li Xingjun, Mr. Cheng Yankai and Mr. Huang were taken to the Gaizhou Detention Center. Ms. Wang Ying, Ms. Li Ling and Ms. Ni were sent to the Yingkou Detention Center. The practitioners' van was confiscated.

13. [Suzhou, Anhui Province] Ms. Lu Suying Arrested

Ms. Lu Suying from Dangshan County, Anhui Province, was arrested by police while distributing Falun Gong informational materials on Dangcheng Avenue on the morning of July 14, 2012. She is being held in the Suizhou Police Department.

14. [Meizhou, Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Shuzhen Arrested

Ms. Huang Shuzhen was arrested by Zhang Yong and other policemen from the Songyuan Police Station on the morning of July 7, 2012, when she went to visit her sister-in-law in Songyuan Town, Mei County.

15. [Zaoyang, Hubei Province] Mr. Xu Guorong and Mr. Zhao Shunrong Detained

Mr. Xu Guorong and Mr. Zhao Shunrong were reported to police and arrested while they spoke to people about Falun Gong on July 13, 2012. They are being held in the detention center.

16. [Jinzhou, Liaoning Province] Mr. Cui Jingyong Missing after Arrest

Mr. Cui Jingyong, in his 60s, is from Chengguang Township, Yi County, Jinzhou. He was arrested on the night of July 14, 2012. His home was also ransacked. His current whereabouts are unknown.

17. [Qiqihar, Heilongjiang Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ding Zhihong, director of the Anxi District Police Department, along with Wang Tongxing and Fu Chenglin from the 610 Office, broke into the homes of Mr. Li Junying and Ms. Li Jinzhi on July 4, 2012. They confiscated Falun Gong books and materials, computers, printers, and other personal property. Mr. Li, Ms. Li, and Ms. Li's daughter Ms. Li Lin were arrested.

On July 9, 2012, police broke into the store of Ms. Bai Lihong and arrested Ms. Bai and Mr. Zheng Xilin.

18. [Jiansanjiang, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Yanxiang Transferred to Qinglongshan Brainwashing Center

Ms. Li Yanxiang was arrested by police when she spoke to people about Falun Gong at a local train station on the afternoon of July 4, 2012. She was transferred to the Qinglongshan Brainwashing Center on July 10, 2012.

19. [Weifang, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhuang Kuicheng's Home Ransacked

Eight officers from the Shuangyang Police Station in Gaoli Town went to Wangguzhuang and ransacked Mr. Zhuang Kuicheng's home on the morning of July 13, 2012. They confiscated all Falun Gong books and materials.

20. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Mr. Liu Yunchao Passes Away as a Result of Persecution

Mr. Liu Yunchao passed away at the age of 56 on the night of July 7, 2012, as a result of the persecution he had suffered while in prison. He had been detained in the Fajiatai Prison for over year, prior to being released in 2010 in a near-death condition. Upon his release, he was nearly blind and had injuries, sores and bruises from beatings and torture all over his body. He could not speak and was unconscious most of the time. It is suspected that he had been injected with unknown drugs. He passed away after being in a comma for 2 years.

21. [Mianyang, Sichuan Province] Six Practitioners Arrested; Homes Ransacked

Mr. Ma Zisheng, 59, Ms. Ma Mingli, 59, and Ms. Xiao, about 50, from Peicheng District, Mianyan, were arrested on the evening of July 6, 2012. Their homes were ransacked. The police confiscated their Falun Gong books and materials and other property.

Mr. Li Shuangquan, his partner, and Mr. Sun Renzhi, about 50 years old, from Gaoxin District were arrested at the same time. Their homes were also ransacked.

22. [Daqing, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zheng Yujie Detained

Ms. Zheng Yujie works at the Donghu Business Bank in Daqing. She was arrested by personnel from the Honggang District Neighboring Committee and the local police on July 13, 2012. Her computer and MP3 player were confiscated. Ms. Zheng is being held in the Daqing First Detention Center.

23. [Chengdu, Sichuan Province] Mr. Guo Qinghua Arrested; Home Ransacked

Mr. Guo Qinghua, 74, is a retired cadre from Pujiang County. He was arrested by police while he distributed informational materials about Falun Gong in a residential area in late June 2012. His home was also ransacked.

24. [Beijing] Mr. Cao Dong Sentenced to Forced Labor; His Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Cao Dong from Gansu Province was recently arrested in Beijing and sentenced to 2.5 years of forced labor. He is not detained in the Dongcheng Detention Center, as previously thought. His current whereabouts are unknown.

25. [Beipiao, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Huaping Arrested

Ms. Zhang Huaping from Beipiao was arrested at home by plainclothes police on July 16, 2012. The police also confiscated her printer, two computers and Falun Gong books. Ms. Zhang's husband, Mr. Wang Yanqing, was persecuted to death a few years ago. Now, their only child, a high school student, has been left home alone.

26. [Dezhou, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Yanqin Sent to Forced Labor Camp; Ms. Song Shizhi Under House Arrest

Ms. Zhang Yanqin and Ms. Song Shizhi from Leling, Shandong Province, were reported to police while they posted informational materials about Falun Gong on the night of May 17, 2012. They were arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Leling Police Department and sent to the Dezhou Detention Center the next day.

The detention center refused to accept Ms. Song Shizhi because of high blood pressure, and she was subsequently placed under house arrest for one year.

Ms. Zhang Yanqin was sentenced to one year of forced labor on June 18, 2012. She was transferred to the Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province.

Mr. Hu Chuliang was arrested on the afternoon of July 13, 2012.

28. [Meihekou, Jilin Province] Ms. Gong Lihua Detained

Ms. Gong Lihua was arrested at home by officers from the Meihekou Domestic Security Division on July 14, 2012. She is being detained in Tonghua.
