Mother Collapses When Daughter Zhang Xiaoyan Is Arrested for Third Time

(Minghui.org) On the evening of July 25, 2012, Ms. Zhang Xiaoyan, who is in her fifties and from Changting Town, Hailin City, Heilongjiang Province, was illegally arrested at Taipinggou Forest of the Dahailin Forestry Bureau. She was taken and detained in the police department of Dahailin Forestry Bureau. The following day, officers from the Domestic Security Branch of Dahailin Forestry Bureau, including Li Yexia, An Maotian, and Li Chen, ransacked Ms. Zhang's home. They confiscated many of her household goods.

Ms. Zhang Xiaoyan's mother is 88 years old and has difficulty walking. When she heard the news, she wanted to see her daughter in person. On the afternoon of July 26, she and Ms. Zhang Xiaoyan's sister went to the police department to request a visit. However, when Li Yexia from the Domestic Security Division rejected their request, Ms. Zhang's mother collapsed.

Since the beginning of the persecution in 1999, Ms. Zhang has been arrested three times by the police and made to pay 4,000 yuan in extortion money, which has caused a lot additional stress to her family.
