(Minghui.org) A judge at Weibin District Court in Baoji City, Shaanxi Province illegally sentenced Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Lin Jilong to three and a half years of imprisonment on May 10, 2012. Mr. Lin has been persecuted by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials from Weibin District Political Judiciary Committee, Chencang District Political Judiciary Committee, the local 610 Office, and the court.

Mr. Lin was arrested by local police in March 2000 while telling people the facts about Falun Gong. He was then held at Baoji City Chencang District Police Bureau in Shaanxi Province for five days.

On November 23, 2011, officers from Jing'erlu Police Station, Weibin District Police Station, and the Baoji City Bureau ransacked Mr. Lin's home—in an apartment building affiliated with Weiyang Diesel Engine Factory, located in Huaxi Community on Xinjian Road, Chencang District, Baoji City. They confiscated his Falun Dafa books, truth-clarification materials, a computer, and other personal belongings.

Mr. Lin was arrested again by officers from Weibin District Police Bureau after he returned home from Shanghai (where he worked) on December 20, 2011. He was then taken to the detention center at the police bureau where he was tortured both physically and mentally. He was also forced to sit in an iron chair for more than 20 days. During that period, he was interrogated through torture.

On April 17, 2012, Weibin District Court held a secret trial, and didn't allow Mr. Lin to defend himself. They forcibly took him away before he could finish what he had to say. The judge didn't announce his verdict in court or hold another trial, but instead sentenced Mr. Lin to three and a half years in prison.
