(Minghui.org) On the Renwu section of Taiwan's Highway 1, a billboard reading, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” has been placed on the roof of a paper factory. It attracts a lot of attention from passing vehicles. The factory manager, Mr. Zhang Yonghong, and his family of twelve people are all Falun Gong practitioners. The oldest is a 71-year-old grandmother, while the youngest, is her six-year-old grandson. Their friends, relatives and neighbors have all noticed their changes for the better. What led them to start cultivation in Falun Dafa?
“Falun Dafa is Good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is Good”
Falun Dafa was introduced to Taiwan in April 1995. Over the past seventeen years, Dafa has spread across Taiwan and flourished. There are over 1,000 practice sites in Taiwan’s towns and villages. Falun Gong has spread into every corner of Taiwan. Within just a few years, the number of practitioners in Taiwan has increased from tens of thousands to over 700,000. Mr. Zhang and his family originally planned to move overseas and searched for immigration information on the Internet. By chance, they came across Falun Gong. They started to read Zhuan Falun and started to cultivate in Falun Dafa. It was like being reborn for the family.

Reading the Epoch Times Website Eventually Led the Entire Family to Attain the Fa
In 2008, Mr. Zhang worried that the CCP would invade Taiwan, and the family decided to move overseas. When Mr. Zhang's son-in-law searched for immigration information on the Internet, he stumbled upon an article at the Epoch Times website. It talked about how in the Age of Law's End, a holy king will come to earth to save sentient beings. Mr. Zhang's third daughter, Xinru, then went to the Falun Dafa Minghui.org website. She kept reading deep into the night, and did not want to stop. Practitioners' cultivation stories of improving health and upgrading xinxing deeply touched her and brought tears to her eyes. Xinru learned the five exercises from the website. The next day, she could not wait to buy a copy of Zhuan Falun and find a practice site. She was surprised to find one so close to her home. She deeply felt that there was hope in life and she no longer thought of leaving her country anymore.
When Xinru went back to her parents' home in Renwu, Gaoxiong, she mentioned the great news that she was now practicing Falun Dafa. Her mother learned from the Falun Dafa teachings that only cultivation can change a person's destiny. She felt that Falun Dafa was truly wondrous. She bought many copies of Zhuan Falun and sent them to her close friends and relatives. Eventually, all twelve members of the immediate family decided to cultivate in Falun Dafa.
Ms. Zhang: I No Longer Have Worries After Cultivating in Dafa
Ms. Zhang is over 70 years old. She started to cultivate in June 2008, and she is now in good health. Before, she had countless worries and her health was not good. After she started to cultivate the Fa, she changed. She said, “It is really good to cultivate in Dafa. Before I had worries when I had only a one bedroom house. Then I still worried when I had a two bedroom house. Now I do not have any worries at all. Gods are protecting me.” One of her relatives said, “She greatly changed after cultivating Falun Gong. We can see her kindness from her eyes. Her entire person is totally different now.”
Her husband Zhang Shengzheng also changed after cultivating Dafa. Before, he treated his employees strictly and with a bad temperament. After he started to cultivate, his employees in the factory saw a much kinder, more easygoing Zhang. Mr. Zhang is now also in much better health. He often drives a broadcasting vehicle to the tourist sites to introduce Dafa and talk to the tourists about Dafa. He said humbly, “I need to do better and walk my path of cultivation better.”
Youngest Son Zhang Yonghong: I Want to Tell the World About Dafa's Greatness
Zhang Yonghong is Zhang Shengzheng's youngest son and the factory manager. He was also the last one in his family to start to cultivate Dafa. When his family started, he wanted to wait and see for a while. In addition, he studied science and technology in college and did not believe in the divine initially. However, he saw that when his family started to cultivate Dafa, they became happier and happier. They all talked about the greatness of Dafa when they had a family reunion. Soon he decided to get to know Falun Gong. It happened that his wife had just bought Master Li's Fa Lecture audio tapes. He used the chance of driving on a business trip to listen to the audio tapes and he thought it was extraordinary. Then for awhile, he only listened to the Fa, but did not practice the exercises. One day, when he was sitting in the living room, he suddenly heard a the words, “Why is your Fa not enough?” He heard it twice and he felt very surprised. He then made up his mind to cultivate in Dafa. He asked his son to teach him the exercises.
After the Zhang family benefited from Dafa, they really wished to share the greatness of Dafa with more people. Zhang Yonghong said, “Our paper factory happens to be close to the Renwu section of Highway 1. If tourists from mainland China are traveling to south Taiwan, they must pass this area. Our family wanted to take advantage of this location, so we built a huge billboard on the roof of our factory with the words 'Falun Dafa is Good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is Good'. I hope the whole world can understand the greatness of Falun Dafa as our family does.”
His first Dafa project was to drive the broadcasting vehicle to the Xizi Bay tourist site to introduce Dafa. In Xizi Bay, he needed to climb up the stairs of the former British Embassy, which was six or seven floors high. Before he began practicing Dafa, it was difficult for him to make it to the top and he had to take several breaks in the middle. This time he could do it without pause.
Later, Zhang Yonghong participated in the Divine Land Marching Band and played the tuba. He had never learned to play any musical instruments before. In the beginning, he practiced many hours after work. Mr. Zhang was not tall and sometimes he felt his arms becoming tired after holding the tuba for a while. When he played music during the parade, he occasionally put his arms down between songs to stretch a little. When he participated in the Taipei parade for withdrawing from the CCP, there were many people on both sides of the street and the conductor did one song after another without stopping. As his arms got tired, he became a little nervous. He then calmed down and continuously recited the Fa when not playing music. He successfully finished playing until the end.
Another time he had a test when he first attended a parade in Hong Kong. Some practitioners handed him sunscreen. He squeezed out some and wiped his forehead. When the parade began, the sunscreen started to flow into his eyes because he was sweating a lot. When he rubbed his eyes, an eyelash got into his eye. For the entire parade his eye was in a great pain. He recited Hong Yin the entire time in his heart and was able to successfully complete the entire parade.
Zhang Yonghong said, “After I joined the Divine Land Marching Band, I tried to attend all the band's activities to introduce Dafa. I also want to give thanks for my wife's great support to enable me to participate in Dafa activities without any worries. I acquired the Fa later than others, and I am eager to tell the world about the greatness of Dafa and to expose the persecution against Dafa. I hope that the people in the world will have a beautiful future.”
Zhang's family paper factory has been in operation for over 30 years. After they started to cultivate Dafa, their business philosophy has also changed a lot. They do not work overtime during holidays so that everyone will have time to participate in Dafa related activities. They do not compete with peers to attract customers. They also are not attached to the quantity of orders and they trust each other. Still, business has been very good. They all have truly benefited from Dafa cultivation.
The Third Daughter Xinru: Moved to Tears Reading Zhuan Falun
Their third daughter Xinru, who introduced Dafa to the family, had poor health and many illnesses since childhood. She always wondered why people came to this world. Although she did not worry about food and clothing, she felt depressed all the time and she felt that life was very boring. After she got married, she stayed in Taipei and took care of their child at home. When her family traveled to Kenting National Park, she met a Falun Gong practitioner, who gave her a bookmark. She looked at the bookmark and did not understand what cultivation was, but she carefully placed the bookmark in a book and put the book on a bookshelf. Later this bookmark kept catching her eye. She felt very strange, but did not think much about it.
In 2008, her family felt that the government showed signs of being pro-CCP, and the family agreed to prepare to immigrate overseas. She searched on the internet and came upon Falun Gong. At the Minghui website, she read about other practitioners' cultivation experience sharing articles and learned the five sets of exercises. She also went to the bookstore and found the book Zhuan Falun. She finished reading the entire book in one night, and she felt like she had received a treasure. She was so excited that she could not sleep. She quickly found a practice site and started cultivation. At the practice site, she could sit in the lotus position for an hour during the exercises on the first day. Although it was very painful, she bore the pain until the end. Along the way of cultivation over the past three plus years, she has always felt very fortunate and joyful while passing tests, unafraid of hardship and pain.
Youngest Grandson Zhang Chenwei: Not Afraid of Hardship During Cultivation, Persisting to the End
Zhang Shengzheng has five grandchildren. His youngest grandson, Zhang Chenwei, acted very differently after he started to practice Falun Dafa. He now helps others and has a very good relationship with other students. Once during lunch time at school, a student who sat next to him could not find his spoon, so he took Zhang Chenwei's spoon to use. Then the student accidentally poured the soup on Zhang Chenwei's head, and he even blamed and scolded him. Chenwei's first thought was Master's teaching. He did not argue or fight with the other student. Instead, he helped the student to find his spoon.
Once, while the family was having a group Fa-study, Chenwei saw Master's Law Body beside each family member. He was shocked. Every Saturday morning, his parents took him to the Minghui class, which was his happiest time during the week. He could do the exercises and study the Fa with many other children. He really likes to listen to the Minghui class teacher tell stories. Once, his parents took him to explain the facts about Falun Dafa to tourists from Mainland China. They did the fifth exercise for an hour during the group exercise practice. He cried out in pain, but he still persisted until the end. He was praised for his determination.
Xinru's child, Shien, also behaved better after he started to cultivate in Dafa. He is strict with himself following the Fa principles. He once found some lost money in a tour bus and returned it to the owner. The owner of the tour company was very moved. He visited Shien's school to thank him. Shien also likes to participate in activities to validate the Fa. Once he went to Xizi Bay with his mother to explain the facts about Falun Dafa to tourists from mainland China. On the way back, he was very tired and fell asleep in the car. After he woke up back at home, he told his mother that Master just took him to the dragon palace to play. He saw many shrimp and crab soldiers and rabbits and other small animals, which all had a bubble surrounding them. His clothing did not get wet in the water and he traveled in the water freely. When the car arrived home, Master sent him back. He then woke up.
The family uses Master's Fa principles to compare their actions against in order to improve themselves during conflicts. They feel very fortunate to have acquired the Fa and to cultivate the Fa in this lifetime. Master's great compassion graces the entire universe. There is no way for them to repay it, but only to cultivate more diligently.
