(Minghui.org) On June 4, 2012 in the morning, Mr. Dong Xiaoming, a young teacher at Dongzhangzi Primary School in Beilu Village (in Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province), was arrested by police from the Domestic Security Division. He is currently illegally detainedat Hedong Detention Center and has been for over 20 days. His father was so worried about him that he had a relapse of gastritis and could not sleep nor eat for several days. He is now bedridden. Mr. Dong's mother cries everyday while his wife and child are very anxious. They went to the detention center several times, but were not allowed to see him.

Outstanding Teacher in the Mountain District

Mr. Dong Xiaoming returned to the mountain district to work as a primary school teacher upon graduating from a training institute for teachers. He loved his students and was dedicated to teaching, to improving the quality of education, as well as to his students' overall development. Last year he took in a class of very mischievous students. In a short period of time, the students underwent a transformation and began to show respect for their teacher. Their academic results improved, and they moved into an advanced curriculum. During the mid-year examinations, Mr. Dong's class did very well.

When news of Mr. Dong's arrest spread in the village, everyone was very angry. The teachers and staff at the school jointly went to the respective departments to ask for his immediate release.

Head of Domestic Security Division Extorted Money from Mr. Dong's Family

The day after Mr. Dong was arrested, his family went to Beilu Police Station to ask for his release. Yu Shuguo, the head of the police station, told them: “He was arrested by the domestic security division, and we have nothing to do with this. You should go to the domestic security division.” His family went to the domestic security division, and head officer Wang Guilin said to them: “You should go to Beilu Police Station. They were responsible for the arrest.” Then Mr. Dong's family questioned him: “Do you think you can pass us back and forth like kicking a ball?” Wang Guilin did not reply.

When pressed by Mr. Dong's family to reveal his whereabouts, Wang Guilin pretended to be very sincere and told them: “I received orders from above to send arrested Falun Gong practitioners to Fushun brainwashing center. On July 2, Mr. Dong will be taken to the brainwashing center, and a month later, I can try to get him out. However you must pay me 50,000 yuan; I can use this to buy connections to secure his release. But you must not tell anyone about this, nor mention the money you paid. Otherwise, don't blame me if this thing falls through.”

Although they are not financially well off, Mr. Dong's wife still managed to borrow 50,000 yuan. He has been held in custody for nearly 20 days now, and his family still has not heard anything from Wang Guilin.

For 13 years, police officers Wang Guilin and Chen Zhi from the domestic security division have used deception and threats to extort money from Falun Gong practitioners. They have extorted tens of thousands of yuan without any legal procedures and claimed the money as their own.
