Additional Persecution News from China – June 25, 2012 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces. In this report, 20 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 4 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Lu Xingying in Critical Condition Due to Abuse in Custody

Officers from Duozhuang Town government and Liu Yuanjin from the local police station arrested Ms. Lu Xingying at home on May 22, 2012. They also ransacked her home. Ms. Lu was taken to the county's detention center, where she was held for 2 weeks. She was then sent to the Linyi City 610 Office Brainwashing Center.

The physical abuse and mistreatment that Ms. Lu was subjected to while in custody caused her to be in critical condition. Police extorted 3,000 yuan from her before releasing her on June 23, 2012.

2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Guiqiu Arrested and Detained

Ms. Yang Guiqiu from Xinmin City was arrested on June 23, 2012, as she distributed informational materials about Falun Gong. Officers from the Dingjiafang Police Station made the arrest. Ms. Yang is being held in the Zaohua Detention Center in Shenyang.

3. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Guiyun Arrested

Ms. Xu Guiyun was arrested at home by Pingdu 610 Office agents on the morning of June 22, 2012.

4. [Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Severely Abused in No. 2 Forced Labor Camp

Several practitioners have been severely abused and tortured in the No. 2 Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province. Mr. Hu Jinyan from Changle, Weifang City, was handcuffed for several consecutive days. Mr. Lu Shuming from Cangzhou, Hebei Province, was forced to undergo “transformation.” Mr. Lu was shocked with electric batons for 4 hours by guards Wang Baohua, Wang Xinjiang and Song Nan. Mr. Yin Zijing from Guan County, Liaocheng, is unable to ingest food or take care of himself as a result of severe physical abuse and mistreatment.

5. [Jiaoling County, Guangdong Province] Ms. Lin Lifang and Ms. Zeng Hui Arrested

Ms. Lin Lifang and Ms. Zeng Hui were arrested on the morning of May 28 2012. Participating in the arrest were officers from the Domestic Security Division and the 610 Office. Ms. Zeng has been released. Ms. Lin is being held in the Jiaoling County Detention Center.

6. [Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province]Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Tian Yuan and Mr. Liu Chengda from Jilin City, Jilin Province, worked part-time in Hangzhou. Officers from the Xiacheng District Police Department arrested them on May 26, 2012. Ms. Yang Yin was arrested at the same time. Mr. Tian and Ms. Yang are being held in the Renhe Town Detention Center in Yuhang District. Mr. Liu's whereabouts are unknown.

7. [Woyang County, Anhui Province] Ms. Huang Guibin Arrested and Detained

Ms. Huang Guibin from Yimen Town was arrested by local police on June 13, 2012. She is being held in the county's detention center.

Local 610 Office agents broke into Ms. Huang's son's home on June 15, and took away a computer, a printer and other personal belongings. They arrested Ms. Huang's daughter-in-law and grandson. Ms. Huang's son has had to live away from home to avoid being arrested.

8. [Luannan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Shujing and Husband Sent to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Zhang Shujing and her husband were arrested on the morning of June 20, 2012. Fengrun District 610 Office agents took them to the Fengrun Brainwashing Center.

9. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Zhang Chonggao Detained

Mr. Zhang Chonggao from Huji Township, Dancheng County, was arrested on the morning of June 14, 2012, as he distributed informational materials about Falun Gong in Taiyuan. The police took him to the Taiyuan City Detention Center.

10. [Guangdong Province] Nearly 30 Practitioners Held in Zhanjiang Brainwashing Center

Between April and June 2012, Zhanjiang 610 Office agents arrested nearly 30 Falun Gong practitioners, including Ms. Chen Shuiqing, Ms. Zhu Haiying, Mr. Lin Jin, Mr. Lin Hong, Ms. Guo Lingling, Mr. Chen Jinke and Ms. Liang Xuemei. Practitioners were detained at the Zhanjiang Brainwashing Center.

11. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Baoquan Sentenced to 4 Years in Prison

Mr. Zhang Baoquan, a driver at the Harbin City Automobile Corporation, was arrested at home on December 31, 2011. The police opened his door with a master key. On June 7, 2012, after Mr. Zhang had been detained for 6 months, Xiangfang District Court sentenced him to 4 years in prison.

12. [Xiangtan, Hunan Province] Mr. Xie Wangming Tortured in Wuling Prison

Mr. Xie Wangming has been subjected to severe physical abuse and torture in Wuling Prison. When his family came to visit him, he had to be carried out. He was emaciated and was being given an IV infusion.

13. [Beijing] Mr. Zhang Haowen Missing Since 2006

Mr. Zhang Haowen, in his 40s, from Guyue Town, Pingshan County, Hebei Province, worked in the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry in Beijing. After the persecution started in 1999, Mr. Zhang was detained in a prison in Gansu Province for 2 to 3 years. Officials extorted 50,000 yuan from his family prior to releasing him. Mr. Zhang was arrested again in 2006. No one has heard from him or has been aware of his whereabouts since.
