(Minghui.org) On July 21, Falun Gong practitioners from New Zealand held a “Disintegrate the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong” rally in Auckland. Practitioners detailed the brutality of the persecution and re-enacted the tortures that the CCP has used on Falun Gong practitioners in China. Several local human right activists and lawyers spoke at the rally. Sam Fang, New Zealand's Falun Gong contact person, briefly introduced Falun Gong and reviewed the brutal facts of the persecution. Barry Wilson, a member of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China, said that he was shocked and angry about the persecution. He praised Falun Gong practitioners for their efforts to clarify the truth and urged the New Zealand government to try to better help with the human rights situation in China.

Eleven-year-old Kaixin lost her mother to the persecution when she was 18 months old. Her speech moved the audience. Ms. Yan Haiyu told about being tortured. She went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in 2000 and was arrested. In the police station, officers beat her and then restrained her in an extremely painful position for an entire day. She lost the use of her hands after being restrained for two years.

Many local citizens and tourists stopped by. They listened to the speeches, viewed the truth-clarifying materials, took photos, and expressed their support.
