Additional Persecution News from China – July 18, 2012 (17 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution, that took place in 15 cities or counties in 6 provinces. In this report, 11 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 13 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province] Seventy-Two-Year-Old Ms. Li Yueqin's Home Ransacked

About 9 officers from Simenzi Police Station in Simenzi Town ransacked 72-year-old Ms. Li Yueqin's home in January 2012. They also threatened Ms. Li's husband, who was so terrified that he suffered a heart attack.

Ms. Li was previously illegally incarcerated in the Fengcheng Brainwashing Center for a week.

2. [Dalian City, Liaoning] Several Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yan Jinhua and a practitioner surnamed Li were arrested on the afternoon of July 14, 2012. Their homes were also ransacked. It is learned that several practitioners from Dalian University of Technology were also arrested.

3. [Nanning, Guangxi Autonomous Region] Ms. Ye Qundi Arrested

4. [Guangzhou, Guangdong Province] Ms. Jiang Jianghong Goes Missing

Ms. Jiang Jianghong, 26, from Yongzhou, Hunan Province, went to Guangzhou in 2011 to do odd jobs. Ms. Jiang's family in Hunan Province received a phone call from her cell phone on the evening of July 7, 2012, and someone told them to go to the police station to fetch her phone. Later, her family could not contact Ms. Jiang's cell phone. We assume that Ms. Jiang was arrested on her way home from work.

5. [Tanghai County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Yanzhi and Ms. Ma Shulian Detained

Ms. Yang Yanzhi and Ms. Ma Shulian from the No. 9 Farm were arrested on the morning of July 13, 2012 at a market in Yang Town, Luannan County. They are currently in the Luannan County Detention Center.

6. [Xinyang, Henan Province] Ms. Dai Xueqin Arrested

Ms. Dai Xueqin was arrested at home on the afternoon of July 16, 2012.

7. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Jixian Detained

Ms. Wang Jixian from Beijing was arrested on July 16 as she spoke with people about Falun Gong and the persecution in Tiantan Park. She is currently being held at the Tiantan Police Station.

8. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning] Ms. Wang Sufen and Ms. Yue Zhaohua Detained

Ms. Wang Sufen and Ms. Yue Zhaohua were arrested on the morning of July 16, 2012 as they spoke with people about Falun Gong and the persecution in Xiaoshancheng. Officers led by Zhang Xiaoli from the Qingyuan Town Police Station made the arrest. The two practitioners have been sent to the Nangou Detention Center in Fushun City.

9. [Zhuhai, Guangdong Province] Mr. Li Guixin Arrested

Mr. Li Guixin was arrested on the morning of July 18 on his way to work.

10. [Shenyang, Liaoning] Mr. Gao Mingxing Severely Physically Abused; Still Imprisoned

Mr. Gao Mingxing is being held in the Old and Injured Team in the Shenyang No.1 Prison.

11. [Jing'an County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Luo Xiulan Arrested

Ms. Luo Xiulan was arrested on the evening of July 14, 2012 as she distributed informational materials about Falun Gong.

12. [Yi County, Liaoning] Three Practitioners Arrested and Detained

Ms. Wu Fuyun from Chengyuan Township was arrested on the morning of July 17, 2012 by officers from the Yi County Domestic Security Division. Mr. Cui Jingyong and Ms. Zhao Guihua are currently in the Jinzhou Detention Center.

13. [Qian'an, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Suyan Harassed

About 8 officers including Jiang Donghua from the Qian'an City Domestic Security Division broke into Ms. Li Suyan's home on June 9, 2012, and ransacked it. They found nothing they wanted, so they took her computer when they left.

14. [Chongqing] Ms. Xiong Yuzhen Arrested and Lost Contact for a Year

Ms. Xiong Yuzhen, 59, is a retired employee at the Chang'an No.2 Factory Hospital in Jiangbei District. She has often been persecuted and harassed for remaining steadfast in her belief in Falun Gong. At noon on July 18, 2011, as she walked to the entrance to the residential compound where she lives, two plainclothes female police officers were waiting in a white van they had parked outside. As Ms. Xiong approached, they got out and forcibly dragged her into the van. We have not heard from Ms. Xiong since, nor do we know of her whereabouts.

15. [Shenyang, Liaoning] Two Practitioners Sentenced to Forced Labor; One Detained

Ms. Zhang Jihong, Ms. Zheng Yujing and Ms. Liu Junlan were arrested on May 2, 2012 as they spoke with people about Falun Gong. Officers from the Tiexi Domestic Security Division participated in the arrest. Ms. Zheng and Ms. Liu have been sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for a one-year term. Ms. Zhang is being held in the Shenyang No.1 Detention Center, and is facing illegal sentencing.

16. [Tianjin] Mr. Fan Jinzhu Detained

More than 10 officers from the Beichen District 610 Office, Domestic Security Division and Police Department broke into Mr. Fan Jinzhu's home in Wanke Garden Residential Compound on June 18, 2012. They arrested seven practitioners in Mr. Fan's home, including Mr. Fan and Mr. Li Liang. Beichen Police Department officials delivered to Mr. Fan's family an official arrest warrant for Mr. Fan on July 11. Mr. Fan is currently in the Caozhuangzi Detention Center.
