(Minghui.org) Before I obtained the Fa, my family was very poor, and I had all kinds of illnesses. I had two children who were attending school, and my husband often beat and abused me. Our lives were so difficult back then!
In early 1999, I met a Falun Gong practitioner, and she told me how good Falun Gong is. She asked me if I wanted to practice, and I learned the exercises from her. Three days later, I recovered from eight to nine of my different illnesses. I understood the principle of repaying karmic debt. Hence when my husband beat me for no reason, I was not moved and even treated him with compassion. Subsequently my husband treated me better and was very supportive of my practice.
I worked in the fields during the day and studied the Fa in the afternoon and at night. I only slept for three to four hours a day, sometimes even less. However I was full of energy. After practicing Falun Gong for five to six months, I knew only the three characters for Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. Because I could not read Zhuan Falun, I was so anxious that I wept. A practitioner told me to recite, “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” Not long after I started to do so, my body went through a tremendous change. When I meditated, my child saw a shiny column on top of my head. Master saw how I longed to be able to read Dafa books, and He helped me to gradually read the precious book Zhuan Falun. I can only read the characters in Dafa books. I cannot read the characters in other books.
Nearly five months after I started the practice, Jiang's regime began the persecution of Falun Gong. I exposed the evil crimes committed by Jiang Zemin and his gang to every person I met. Everywhere I went I told people the truth. I was not afraid at all.
On October 2, 2003 four officials from the 610 Office and police station came to my house. Without a shred of fear, I said to the police: "I regained my health by simply reciting Truthfulness-Compasssion-Forbearance. My husband also recovered from his illness, and my family became harmonious. Yet you are against such a wonderful practice? Is it a sin to do good things and accumulate virtue?"
The head of the 610 Office said: "My father also practiced Falun Gong but he stopped when his superiors forbade him from practicing." Very reluctantly, the police took me to the detention center.
At the detention center, I told the guards and prison convicts the facts about Falun Gong. On the third day, a policeman interrogated me and made me sit on an iron chair. I said to him: "I shouldn't be locked up in here, nor should I be sitting down in front of you. It is a crime to bully a good person." I looked straight at him very righteously. He was afraid to look me in the eye and quickly allowed me to return to my cell. I began to recite the Fa upon returning to my cell. As soon as I recited the Fa, I had righteous thoughts and was bestowed with the wisdom of Gods. I was detained for seven days and told people the truth for seven days. I also validated Dafa.
Upon my release, I started to sell candied fruit. People liked to buy from me and listened to the facts about the persecution. In this process, I saved many people.
Whenever a new head of police arrived at the police station, I went and told him the truth about the persecution and advised him to quit the Communist Party. Once, I told a new head the truth about Falun Gong and assisted him to dissociate from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. He personally sent me home in his car and told me he was in ill health. I asked him to recite “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” and shared with him about how I recovered from the dozen of illnesses I previously had by reciting this phrase. Because I persisted in telling them the truth about Falun Gong all these years, most of the police officers would shout: “Falun Dafa is good” when they see me.
On Qingming festival in 2005, five police officers came while I was cooking at home. They told me I had to make a trip to the police station. I started to tell them about the crimes committed by Jiang Zemin and Luo Gan. At the police station, they gave me a chair to sit on. I kept telling them the facts about the persecution. Initially the police officers stood in a neat row. Later on they kneeled down at the base of the wall, also in a neat fashion. They listened very carefully to what I said. This went on for several hours. I sat on the chair and felt as if I was very big and tall.
In 2006, a conflict arose because a huge tree at my house was cut down and taken by someone. My husband and child were taken away during the process. Many people, as well as the parties to the conflict, were present at the scene. I told them the facts about the persecution and helped them quit the CCP. Soon after, my husband and child returned home. Although I was robbed of my tree, I was not upset at all. I am not troubled at all by worldly matters. Saving people is my top priority. No matter how busy I am with farm work, I put Dafa matters before anything else.
Master said in Hong Yin II, “True Character is Revealed”:
“Be resolute cultivating Dafa, the mind unstirred
Climbing in levels is what’s fundamental
Faced with tests, a person’s true character is revealed
May you Consummate—
a Buddha, Dao, or God”
Whenever we run into things, it is a test. We must validate Dafa at the crucial moment and maintain our xinxing. We are cultivating in the period of Fa rectification and this is unprecedented.
During the 2008 Beijing Olympics, I did not have any Falun Gong brochures. I learned how to write my own notices and got my child to write some as well. Then I went out to display them in public places. The situation was more intense during the Olympics, but I was not moved. The more severe the environment, the more I have to go out to save people. I distributed letters that I wrote to those in the police station. When the police officers saw my letters, they were astonished. "You are illiterate, yet you could write these?" I replied: "I copied them by hand." In fact they had great respect for me and knew
In 2009, around two dozen practitioners in my area were arrested. I continued to tell people the truth about Falun Gong in an open and dignified manner. Some practitioners suspected me, but I was not moved.
I never shut myself out to other practitioners. My house is open to every practitioner. There was a practitioner living in the next village. Her husband was poisoned by the regime's propaganda and forbade her from practicing. She was nearly beaten to death and left home. No one dared to take her in; hence I brought her home and we studied the Fa together. I also helped to resolve her financial problems. Master said in Hong Yin, “One with the Fa”:
“Broadly shines a Buddha’s light,
Justly setting all things right.
Advance together, ever diligent,
To a glorious future.”
When I clarify the truth about Falun Gong to police officers in the police station, I am as natural as when I do it at home. On one occasion, as I was preparing to go to a police station, a practitioner happened to drop by. I told her my intention, and she immediately she said with righteous thought: "I would like to come along." I was secretly happy with her progress in cultivation.
We bought some fruits and went to the police station. I started to clarify the truth to an officer and helped him quit the CCP. An elderly officer asked the other practitioner: "You are practicing Falun Gong, too?" She answered: "Yes, and Falun Gong is great. You must not be deceived by Jiang Zemin and those who follow him. Don't go against Falun Gong." This elderly policeman kept nodding and agreed with her. Another policeman asked me: "Aren't you afraid of us?" I replied: "If I'm afraid of you, who will save you then!" The officers were touched by our compassion. Everyone in the office agreed to quit the CCP. Since then, this practitioner became very much at ease when clarifying the truth to the police.
Whenever I heard about a practitioner being persecuted, I would make phone calls using my land line to rescue the practitioner. Usually, I would often call the county 610 Office and Domestic Security Division to clarify the truth. They could feel that I was doing this for their good; therefore I was kept away from danger.
In 2009, a practitioner was arrested. Many police officers from the police stations in my local village, neighboring areas, and county came to my house. They placed Falun Gong brochures in my yard and wanted to destroy them. I hid Zhuan Falun on me and said to them: "These brochures are for people to read. Treasuring these brochures is the same as treasuring your lives!" They promised to treasure these brochures.
I was taken back to the police station together with three other practitioners. The four of us were assigned to one room and we started to persuade the police to quit the CCP. They accepted the truth and said "Falun Dafa is good!" The supervisor sent me home.
Every opportunity to improve our xinxing does not come around again. Cultivation is a serious matter, and to do well in cultivation, one must break through the human shell and open our closed hearts. When you truly think of others, you are no longer an ordinary person. When you are compassionate, the other party will agree to quit the CCP.
On May 7 this year, a practitioner was illegally arrested and taken to a brainwashing class. Two practitioners and I together went to the brainwashing class. Police officers from the police station came, and we clarified the truth to them on the spot. They quit the CCP, too. Because they accepted the truth, they did not send us to the detention center. Instead we were taken to the local police station. Again we clarified the truth to the police officers there, and they sent us home. The practitioner who was held in custody at the brainwashing class was released too.
The next day, we went to the 610 Office and police station to ask for the return of the practitioner's confiscated motorcycle and bicycle. They told us these items were at another police station. Hence we went to the other station and asked for the police head. The officer on duty was afraid to tell us. We knew that he was somewhere in the station and went in search of him from the first to the third floor while sending righteous thoughts. Finally we found him and clarified the truth to him in his office. He listened to us for a long time and agreed to quit the CCP. On the way out, we met other policemen and clarified the truth to them. Within two days, we went to three police stations and a brainwashing class. In total, more than 40 people denounced the CCP. There was also a small interlude. At one of the police stations, a policeman encountered a person who was very unreasonable. He could not handle the person and asked us to help him. We clarified the truth to this person and told him how one should conduct oneself. In the end, the matter was happily resolved.
On June 6, I went out with another practitioner to tell people the truth about Falun Gong. At 11 am, we were taken to the police station by force. No matter how difficult the situation, we would still clarify the truth and not let go of any predestined person. On June 9, I was taken to a mental institution. I clarified the truth to the head and doctors at the institution. After listening to the truth, they released me.
For over a decade, I have been through so many incidents while resisting the persecution and saving people. In my heart, I know that in every step I took, Master was there watching over me. All I did was just go around and use my voice to tell people the truth about Falun Gong. In fact, it is Master who is saving people. Master wants us to save more people urgently. I must listen to Master and do well the three things he asked of us, saving even more sentient beings.
