(Minghui.org) On July 18, Falun Gong practitioners from Singapore held a rally at Fanglin Park, calling for the end of the persecution in China.
Practitioners demonstrated the exercises, displayed and passed out truth-clarifying materials, and held a candlelight vigil commemorating those who have been tortured to death during the persecution. Many tourists and local citizens accepted the materials, and talked to practitioners. Some people heard about the rally before and came to learn more details about Falun Gong. Several Chinese tourists quit the communist party, and quite a few people learned the Falun Gong exercises at the park.

Talking to practitioners, learning the truth about Falun Gong.
At the rally, several practitioners reviewed the brutal persecution, and how practitioners have peacefully resisted it. In their speech, Mr. Sun described the experiences of his friend, who is also a Falun Gong practitioner. She was recently arrested in China, and in the police department she was badly tortured. The policemen forced her to renounce Falun Gong, and claimed: “as long as we keep you alive, we can apply all kinds of torture to you.” In 6 months, her hair became gray, and she cannot walk due to the tortures. Mr. Sun said that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) ignores all the laws and moral standards. “The persecution won't end unless the CCP is disintegrated,” Mr. Sun said.
A few practitioners shared their experiences of practicing Falun Gong, and how they have benefitted from it both mentally and physically.
One gentleman heard about this rally a few days ago, and he came to learn more details. He said: “On the list of 3000 death cases due to the persecution, one of them was my teacher, whose name was Li Baifan. He was a very nice man.”
“I never cared about the politics, and only focused on my work. But one day, when I turned on the TV, I found that all the channels were broadcasting negative news about Falun Gong. I was shocked, so I wanted to know more about it.”
“I had many questions. Why does the CCP persecutes Falun Gong? What can the CCP gain from it? Why did they call Falun Gong 'cult'? And so on. I was not convinced by the CCP's propaganda.”
“In history, the CCP can beat down whoever they wanted to, but this time, Falun Gong didn't give in. I was very impressed. Somebody said that Falun Gong was bought by some foreign government. But you can see Falun Gong practitioners everywhere in the world. Who has the money to buy so many practitioners? I believe that Falun Gong practitioners are supported by their own belief, instead of money.”
He admires practitioners' spirit and all their efforts of clarifying the truth. He said: “Many Chinese people never heard about the truth, so your effort is meaningful. Some people attack Falun Gong, but they don't even know what it is.”
Mr. Zhuo came to the rally because he saw a flyer about it. He and his wife want to learn the exercises. He said that he knew about the organ harvesting from the Epoch Times newspaper. He said: “You cannot learn the truth from other newspapers in Singapore. Only the Epoch Times tells you the truth.”
Many tourists from all over the world talked to practitioners, and expressed their support for Falun Gong.
