Western Practitioner: Two Simple Stories from My Cultivation Path

(Minghui.org) I am a new Western practitioner in Europe who obtained the Fa in September 2009. Below I have two simple cultivation stories to share from me and my son.

Studying the boundless Fa well must be our top priority

One day I was reading Zhuan Falun aloud to my seven-year-old son. During our study my son told me that when I read the text in Zhuan Falun he could see that the text I read in the book represented a castle. But the castle had holes in its wall in certain places of the text, like missing bricks in the castle wall caused by cannon holes. Then he pointed with his finger at some places in the text of Zhuan Falun where there were holes in the castle wall. When I checked myself I suddenly realized that every spot in the text where he pointed with his finger represented a gap in my cultivation. It was very painful to see it and on one particular page he even pointed at four holes that I believe were all related to my attachments.

An old man once told me that the most common fraud in this world is self-deception. I have now realized how hard it is to be Zhen [Truthful] to oneself at all times and to really admit and then eliminate one´s shortcomings.

When we routinely study Zhuan Falun without a pure mind and heart, oftentimes we can´t assimilate ourselves to the Fa and cannot fill up our bodies in other dimensions with the Fa. Hence we stagnate and maybe even fall downwards if our minds are somewhere else. Master has told us again and again to study the Fa better and I am still far from reaching the standard.

Predestination as seen in another dimension

One day my son received a copy of a Chinese terracotta warrior as a gift. He liked it a lot and took it to his class to show everyone. Soon after he had a dream where he saw a huge terracotta warrior holding the small earth inside his stomach. All the people on earth were divided into two equally large groups. One group had some sort of armor like the terracotta warriors of ancient times. The other group of people had no armor at all and were empty. Both sides were preparing themselves for something.

Master said in Guiding the Voyage,

"Yet this matter has also been arranged by those old beings. They divided these beings who’ve come to this world into those who would obtain the Fa and those who would cause tribulations for Dafa."

"Fifty percent of humankind is supposed to obtain the Fa—that’s a few billion people."

My understanding is that those people who have been arranged to obtain the Fa in the future have a kind of protection in another dimension. The other half of the world´s people have been arranged by the old forces to cause tribulations for Dafa and hence they don´t have any protection and are hard to save. This is in line with the characteristics of the old universe, something positive is always accompanied by something negative and hence this is reflected as two equally large groups of people on earth.

In religion it is said that all sentient beings that can be saved at the final judgment must be included in the “Book of Life.” Maybe it is easier to save those people who have protection and predestination. Regardless, we must try our best to save all sentient beings and treat everyone the same with compassion. No matter which evil beings from other dimensions control some people, we will do our utmost to save them and ignore all the arrangements of the old forces.
