July 19, 2012 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Liaoning Province, China

(Minghui.org) Nearly 100 officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Shenbei New District Police Department and the local police station were dispatched to arrest Falun Gong practitioners per the orders from the Shenyang City 610 Office around 7 p.m. on June 7, 2012. Some of practitioners' family members were also taken into custody.

Practitioners Wang Huadi, Wu Limei, Lan Yuling, Guan Yaqing, Li Jing and Chen Shaogang were arrested that night and are still detained. Agents from the 610 Office have threatened to sentence them to forced labor and imprisonment.

Mr. Wang Huadi was arrested at home in Shenbei New District. Police confiscated his computer and took him to the Domestic Security Division in Xinchengzi District. There, officers turned up the air conditioner, poured cold water over Mr. Wang's body and then shocked him with electric batons. Mr. Wang was then transferred to the Shenbei New District Detention Center,.

Ms. Wu Limei, in her 40s, was arrested at home in Xinchengbao Village. Police confiscated her computer and many other personal belongings. She was taken to the Xinchengzijie Police Station. When her family members went to the police station to ask for the return of personal property and Ms. Wu's release, they were threatened by the police.

Currently, Ms. Wu and practitoners Lan Yuling and Guan Yaqing are detained at the Shenyang City No.1 Detention Center.

Mr. Wang Yongli is a farmer from Magang Township. Four policemen, including deputy director Yue Honglei from the Magang Township Police Station, smashed the glass door and forced their way into Mr. Wang’s home around 7 p.m. on June 7, 2012. They took out handcuffs and threatened to handcuff Mr. Wang. Mr. Wang and his wife resisted the arrest, and Mr. Wang was able to get away. He has been forced to stay away from home to avoid further persecution. Police ransacked Mr. Wang’s home and confiscated personal belongings worth 30,000 yuan, including 2,000 yuan in cash, a computer and three mobile phones. The couple's clothing and other items were scattered everywhere around the house.

At the same time, another group of police officers also went to the home of practitioner Li Guiwen, who was not there at the time.

Mr. Li Jing, in his 40s, is a worker from Langshi Village, Cailuo Township. Police from Shenbei New District Police Department and Cailuo Township Police Station arrested him and ransacked his home the same night.

Mr. Li, together with Mr. Chen Shaogang, who was also arrested the same day, are currently held in the Shenbei New District Detention Center.

Practitioners' Family Members Also Arrested

In addition to arresting the six practitioners mentioned above, and attempting to arrest two others, police agents also threatened and intimidated their family members, taking several people into custody. Those taken into custody were later released.

When Ms. Wu Limei was arrested, the police also arrested her husband, Mr. Liang Zhihong, and their young adult son. The police intimidated Ms. Wu's son and forced him to go to the Huangjia Police Station to complete paperwork. Ms. Wu's husband, also a practitioner, was previously arrested in July 31, 2001, and sentenced to 6 years in prison. In February 2002, guard Deng from Lingyuan Prison severely beat him, fracturing his arm and injuring his head.

When Ms. Guan Yaqing was arrestted, officers from the Shenbei New District Police Department and the Huangjia Police Station also arrested her husband, who does not practice Falun Gong.

After Mr. Wang Yongli managed to escape arrest, the police attempted to arrest his wife, but failed. They then intimated Mr. Wang's father and took him to the police station. He was released later the same night. Before leaving Mr. Wang's home, police also threatened Mr. Wang’s mother, “When we find your son, we will arrest him and sentence him to 15 years in prison.” The elderly woman's hypertension relapsed as a result of this ordeal.

On May 17, 2012, several weeks prior to the June 7 arrests, officers from the Magangxiang Police Station arrested another practitioner, Ms. Dong Huidi. Afterward, head of the police station Han Feng instigated three policemen to harass and intimate her husband three times, placing him under great pressure.

On June 25, 2012, the Minghui website exposed that agents from the Shenyang City 610 Office have been reassigned to the Shenbei New District 610 Office. According to sources, after arresting the above-mentioned practitioners, they assigned each local police station a quota of aresting two more Falun Gong practitioners, threatenining that the head of the police station would be fired if this quota is not met.
