(Minghui.org) Being entangled in desires for fame, material gain, and sentiment in the secular world may be the reason for mortal lives of humankind to be stuck in the world known to us. But can we transcend to a higher level if we get rid of these desires? I think it could result in pseudo transcendence, rather than the one that can elevate life to a fundamentally different level.
The earthly immortals who we have learned from various legends were able to let go of their attachments to fame and material gain; however, they could not achieve genuine transcendence and return to their true origins and their highest states because they had cultivated within the old law and therefore were restricted by both the old law and previous cultivation methods. The cultivation of Falun Dafa is for practitioners to actively integrate into the Great Law and for our lives to consciously move away from the old law. While we are eliminating our attachments to fame, gain, and sentimentality, our lives are constantly upgraded and refreshed. Moving away from the control of the old law is probably the way to true transcendence!
Through the Fa we learned that most beings on earth have come from various levels of the cosmos. Aware that the cosmos is approaching the last stage of the old cosmic processes of degeneration and destruction, and that esteemed Master was coming to Earth to rectify the Fa, the beings came to the world as well to assist Master in Fa-rectification and to rectify themselves, which, in turn, can provide salvation to numerous lives in their own cosmic systems. They are not only rectifying their lives in the Fa, but also try to break through the limitations of the old cosmos containing degeneration and destruction. Advancing in one's own cultivation state is not enough; one needs to break away from the old law. With the new cosmos Master is achieving harmonious and sustainable living for all cosmic beings. What does it mean to teach cosmic beings, including us, the cosmic law? It means, according to my understanding, that it is the greatest virtue for a being to actively integrate into Dafa and assist Master in Fa-rectification.
Master said,
“Neither heaven nor earth can
block my road of Fa-rectification
But disciples' human hearts can.” (“Troubles”, in Hong Yin III).
This may be the reason why the Fa-rectification process is continuing, because we have not let go of various human notions including the attachments to fame, gain, and sentimentality. When we are not returning to our original true selves, we are not able to consider and handle the challenges in the Fa-rectification process from the perspective of divine beings. I hope that Dafa disciples and sentient beings do not get lost in the human world at the last stage of Fa-rectification, which would result in endless regret. After thousands of years or even longer periods of waiting, some human beings have forgotten why they came to the world in the first place. However, because it is most difficult for people to walk out of the secular maze, whoever can do it is greatly admired and respected by cosmic beings.
People, wake up! Dafa disciples, wake up! I hope all disciples will do the three things well on their cultivation paths. Be diligent in cultivation so you have no regrets later. Let our lives be in the universe forever. Master described in his poem Stirred by Reflection, “True thoughts dissolve all, The whole sky is clear.” We need to have stronger and stronger righteous thoughts. Dafa disciples are divine beings in the human world; as our righteous thoughts are getting stronger, we will be able to integrate our bodies and true original selves. This is the way for Dafa disciples to elevate from the secular dimension.
