(Minghui.org) I lived in a small village close to a town with only around 100 families. Before 2004, we were very poor, and many men were too poor to get married. In 2004, the villagers sided with goodness by rescuing Falun Dafa practitioners. Since that date, our village has changed for the better.
On June 3, 2003, local police arrested my husband and I because of our firm belief in Falun Dafa. We were taken to the local detention center. I went on a 37-day hunger strike, was released, and returned home. The town police bureau sentenced my husband to three years of forced labor, using falsified evidence. At that time, one of our children was in college. We became homeless, and had to give up farming and find another way to make a living. At the time, everyone in the village, including my relatives had been deceived by lies from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They could not understand what practitioners were doing and even resisted them.
The local practitioners and I formed one body, constantly improved in our understanding of the Fa, and cooperated well with each other. We went to local authorities to clarify the truth and requested my husband's release. Our efforts in rescuing him were interfered with by officials from local 610 Office. They said, "You practitioners are not good people. That's why we arrested you." I wondered, "How could we disclose the evil lies so as to save the sentient beings who had been deceived?" One idea came to my mind, "Let everyone in our village cosign a paper to witness our great changes after we began practicing Falun Dafa. They will clearly see whether we were good people or not. It's not the evil CCP that has the final say. We will also clarify the truth of Falun Gong to people while asking them to cosign the paper. In this way, they can choose their own futures."
Once I was certain that this would be the way to go about it, I shared the plan with fellow practitioners. They all agreed with me. My younger son and I went from door to door and asked everyone to cosign the paper after clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to them. More than 90% of the people signed the paper.
Due to practitioner's cooperation as one body and support from local villagers, my husband was released in October 2005, which was prior to his release date.
Over the following years, this small village experienced great changes. In the past, men had seldom gotten married during the year, but it is quite different now. Those who previously couldn't afford to get married started families one after the other. Moreover, our living standards improved a lot. While other villages experienced loss of crops, our village had an increase in crops, something that had never happened before.
There is a family in the village with three sons who all know that Falun Dafa is good. During the times of severe persecution, they protected and supported practitioners. They were all rewarded with good blessings. It's true that Gods will bring people happiness and peace once they support Dafa.
During the past 13 years, practitioners have suffered unprecedented persecution from the CCP. However, practitioners persisted in clarifying the truth about Falun Gong so that non-practitioners could learn the truth and be saved. This is actually the true goal of practitioners.
We encountered different kinds of people. For example, in Autumn 2006, when I returned to my hometown, I came across an old man who was over 70 years old in my younger sister's hairdressing shop. After he had his hair cut, he sat on the kang (a traditional long sleeping platform made of bricks or other forms of fired clay) and started chatting with me. He told me many weird things that he had encountered. I told him the facts about Falun Dafa and asked him to keep in mind "Falun Dafa is good" and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good." I told him that this would bring him good health and future blessings. He was very happy and said "I encountered a really good thing today." He asked me to write down the nine words so that he could ask other people to read them to him if he forgot them.
I asked my younger sister for a card with “Falun Dafa is Good” written on it. I wrapped it up and gave it to him. He left, but turned back immediately and said to me, "Thank you." I asked why. He said because his back was no longer painful. The old man had pain in his back, so he couldn't keep straight and had to rely on a stick to support him when walking. I was very shocked. It was the first time that I had encountered something as miraculous as that since I started telling people the facts about Falun Gong.
I walked him to the door. After several steps, the old man came back and thanked me again. I told him, "You don't need to thank me. If you want to express your thanks, please thank my Teacher. It's our Teacher who told us to do things this way. Because you believe in the existence of Gods and Buddhas, they protect you. The Buddha Fa is boundless."
Later my younger sister heard from the old man that he not only was free of illness, but also had experienced many blessings. He received money even while staying at home. When people asked him how he suddenly became so healthy, he told them, "Just because I read this," while showing them the Dafa card. Now he not only benefits from Dafa himself, but also tells other people the facts about Falun Dafa and helps them make the right choice at this critical moment in history.
I hope that all sentient beings will return to their true nature of compassion and all kind people are well-blessed and have a long life.
