(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 17 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 11 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Dianbai County, Guangdong Province] Dianbai County 610 Office Agents Harass Practitioners
On the evening of May 8, 2012, over a dozen agents from the Dianbai County 610 Office, the Dianbai Domestic Security Division, and the Shuidong Police Station tried to force their way into Ms. Lin Yanmei's home, claiming they needed to check her family's registration. Ms. Lin and her father refused to open the door. The police stayed outside their home for more than an hour before leaving.
That same night, officials harassed Ms. Lin Shiqing, another practitioner, at her shop.
2. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Mr. Yang Heimei Detained and Harassed
Mr. Yang Heimei from Xikou Town, Chenxi County, was arrested on April 15, 2012. He was detained for 12 days.
On May 3, 2012, several government officials from Shangpuxi Township, including Shi Daixiu, harassed and threatened Mr. Yang in his home.

3. [Chongqi] Ms. Wang Ya Detained
Ms. Wang Ya lives in the Yuzhong District of Chongqi. She was arrested on May 4, 2012, by officers from the Jiangbei District Domestic Security Division. Ms. Wang is being held in the Jiangbei District Detention Center.
4. [Jizhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Fengqi Arrested
Ms. Gao Fengqi was arrested at work on May 7, 2012.
5. [Jamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioners at Jiamusi University Persecuted
Lu Lianbo, director of the Jiamusi University 610 Office, arrested Mr. Yao Kai, instructor at Jiamusi University, and sent him to the Yichun Brainwashing Center. Afterward, Lu Lianbo called Mr. Zhang Baojun, another instructor at Jiamusi University, and ordered him and his wife, Ms. Wang Ping, to come to the 610 Office.
Lu Lianbo also contacted a high-ranking official from the university and asked him to come to the 610 Office to discuss arresting more practitioners.

6. [Xingcheng City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Su Guilan Missing since 2010
Ms. Su Guilan from Xingcheng City Jinshan Factory was arrested in Chengde City, Hebei Province, prior to October 2010. Her whereabouts are still unknown.
7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Ren Bingli and His Wife Detained
Officers from the Erdao District Domestic Security Division and the Jinqianbao Police Station broke into an electronics factory in the Erdao District on April 22, 2012, and arrested Mr. Ren Bingli and Ms. Sun Lixin. The officers confiscated a computer, a printer, cash, a hard drive, DVDs, printer ink, informational fliers about Falun Gong, and paper.
Mr. Ren is being held in the Shuangyang Third Detention Center. Ms. Sun is being held in another detention center.
8. [Tangyuan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Zhengyu and Ms. Cong Yanqin Arrested
Ms. Wang Zhengyu and Ms. Cong Yanqin were arrested by local police on May 10, 2012.
9. [Jinchang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Guo Qunying Arrested
Plainclothes police officers deceived Ms. Guo Qunying into leaving her home on May 9, 2012, and then arrested her.
10. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Mr. Luo Pei, Mr. Tang Yingjie, and Mr. Yue (first name unknown) were reported to the authorities on the afternoon of May 10, 2012, when they spoke to people about Falun Gong. Officers from the Hongcheng Market Police Station arrested them.

11. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Luo Chunrong's Whereabouts Unknown
Ms. Luo Chunrong went out to clarify the facts about Falun Gong on May 10, 2012, but did not return home.
12. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Nian Jiahui and Ms. Tao Xinyu Harassed
Ms. Nian Jiahui and Ms. Tao Xinyu were recently harassed by local officials.
13. [Huangmei County, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Xiaoqiao Arrested; Several Practitioners' Homes Ransacked
Three officers from the Xiaochi Town Police Station, including Jiang Songhua, broke into Ms. Hu Bairong's home on the morning of May 10, 2012, and confiscated a picture of Falun Gong's founder and the book Zhuan Falun.
The officers then broke into Ms. Lu Meihua's home and attempted to ransack it. Ms. Lu's daughter was able to stop them. Ms. Lu was not home at the time.
That afternoon, four police officers from the Huangmei County Domestic Security Division and You Zhiyou, an officer from the Xiaochi Town Police Station, arrested Ms. Li Xiaoqiao.
The same afternoon, four officers from the Fen Road Police Station, including Hu Jian, broke into Ms. Zhang Xifeng's home and confiscated a computer, a printer, and many Falun Gong informational materials. Ms. Zhang was not home at the time.
14. [Wuhai City, Hubei Province] Mr. Wu Zhiqiang Arrested
Mr. Wu Zhiqiang was arrested on the afternoon of May 10, 2012.
15. [Harbin, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Chen Rong and His Wife Detained
Mr. Cheng Rong and his wife, Ms. Zhang Shuxia, were arrested on the afternoon of May 3, 2012, by officers from the Guangming Police Station, as they distributed Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs. Mr. Chen is being held in the Hulan City Second Detention Center. Ms. Zhang is being held in the Harbin Guxiang Detention Center.

16. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Fuzhen and Ms. Zhang Hexin Forced to Leave Home
Ms. Zhang Fuzhen and Ms. Zhang Hexin from the Baigou area managed to escape from the Gaobeidian Detention Center on the afternoon of May 9, 2012. To avoid further persecution, they could not return home.
