Additional Persecution News from China – June 15, 2012 (23 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 36 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qu Xiujuan Detained

Ms. Qu Xiujuan was arrested by officers from the Laobian District Jiedao Police Station in Yingkou City on the evening of June 12, 2012. She was sent to the Yingkou Detention Center on the evening of June 13, 2012.

Ms. Xie Xiuhua was also arrested on the same day, but later released.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Pei Shucai Sent to Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Song Tianmin and Ms. Pei Shucai from Changchun City were arrested for handing out informational Falun Gong DVDs on the morning of May 31, 2012. Ms. Song was released. Ms. Pei was sent to the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp for a one-year term.

3. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Linwen Transferred to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Zhang Linwen from Yichun District, Yichun City was transferred from the Qianjin Forced Labor Camp in Harbin to the Yichun Brainwashing Center on the afternoon of June 13, 2012, by agents from the Yichun District 610 Office and the Yichun District Political and Legal Affairs Committee.

Ms. Wang Yunlan and Ms. Xiaoling were arrested for posting informational materials about Falun Gong on the evening of June 13, 2012. They are still in custody.

4. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Ren Aihua, Ms. Guo Huisheng, Ms. Sun Xiaohui, Mr. Zhang Jingcheng, Mr. Luan and Mr. Zhang from Guanzhuang Village, Mencun Town were arrested at Ms. Ren's home on June 13, 2012. Five practitioners, excluding Ms. Sun, were transferred to the Pingdu Police Department the next morning.

5. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Xu Zenghui and his wife, Ms. Wang Yuyan, from Pingdigou Village, Jiaohe City, were arrested at home on the evening of May 29, 2012. Ms. Wang was taken to the Changchun Women's Forced Labor Camp in Jilin Province on June 13, 2012, for a term of 15 months. Mr. Xu was sentenced to one year of forced labor.

Mr. Xu's uncle and another female practitioner were also arrested at the same time.

6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Si Guiping Detained

Ms. Si Guiping, 69, from Changchun City was arrested by officers from the Ziqiang Police Station for handing out informational materials about Falun Gong on Xisidao Street on the morning of June 11, 2012. She is being held in the No.3 Detention Center.

7. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Chu Liwen Sent to Forced Labor Camp

Mr. Chu Liwen from Taibao Village, Taibaojieban, Xiashan District, Weifang City, was arrested on June 11, 2012, for installing a satellite dish for another person. At about 11 a.m. on June 13, 2012, Mr. Chu was sent to Zhangqiu, Jinan City, Shandong Province, for one year of forced labor.

8. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Liu Qihui and Mr. Qin Hongqiang Arrested

Ms. Liu Qihui and Mr. Qin Hongqiang from Lianyungang City were arrested at Mr. Qin's home by agents from the local 610 Office on June 13, 2012. Mr. Qin was released on bail the same evening. Ms. Liu was sent to a detention center.

9. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhong Shulan from Gaomi was reported to the police and arrested by officers from the Xiguan Police Station for speaking to people about Falun Gong at the Dasha Night Market on June 12, 2012. Her young brother, Mr. Zhong Chongzeng, who was visiting her and Mr. Wang Yan from Zhucheng were also arrested at the same time.

Officers from the Xiguan Police Station ransacked Ms. Zhong's home the next morning and confiscated Falun Gong books, photos of Falun Gong founder, a laptop computer, a printer, cash, 4 cell phones and 3 MP3 players.

10. [Beijing] Ms. Zheng Meiying Arrested; Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Zheng Meiying from Huailai County, Hebei Province, was arrested by officers from the Haidian Police Department of Beijing on the afternoon of May 31, 2012. Her whereabouts are unknown.

11. [Huainan City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhu Chunmei Arrested

Ms. Zhu Chunmei was arrested at her flower selling booth by officers from Xiejiaji District on June 13, 2012. Her three bags of Falun Gong informational materials were confiscated.

12. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Hua Arrested; Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Zhang Hua from Tuanwang Town, Laiyang City, Shandong Province, was arrested by officers from Rushan on the afternoon of June 8, 2012. Officers from Rushan, the Laiyang 610 Office and the Tuanwang Police Station also ransacked Mr. Zhang's home and confiscated informational materials about Falun Gong and other items. Mr. Zhang's whereabouts are unknown.

13. [Bozhou City, Anhui Province] Mr. Huang Guibin Detained

Mr. Huang Guibin from Yimen Town, Woyang County, Bozhou City, was arrested for handing out informational materials about Falun Gong on June 13, 2012. He is being held in the Woyang County Detention Center.

14. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Fengkun and Ms. Shao Yuewang Arrested

Ms. Li Fengkun and Ms. Shao Yuewang from Hangu District, Binhai, Tianjin, were arrested by officers from Datian Town, Hangu District, for distributing informational materials about Faun Gong on June 13, 2012. Their whereabouts are unknown.

15. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lin Weizhu Detained

Ms. Lin Weizhu from Dalian City was reported to the police and arrested by officers from the Zhonghualu Police Station for explaining the facts about Falun Gong to people on June 6, 2012. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in the Yaojia Detention Center.

16. [Meishan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Shuhui and Ms. Jiang Shuzhen Arrested

Ms. Chen Shuhui and Ms. Jiang Shuzhen from Pengshan County, Sichuan Province, were reported to the police and arrested for explaining the facts about Falun Gong to people on Pengxie Road on June 4, 2012. Their whereabouts are unknown.

17. [Chongqing] Mr. Zhu Yugui Arrested

Mr. Zhu Yugui from Laodong Village, Yangjiaping, Jiulongpo District, Chongqing, was reported to the police and arrested for speaking about Falun Gong to people in Maoxiangou Community, Jiulongpo District, on the morning of June 7, 2012. His whereabouts are unknown.

18. [Chongqing] Ms. Jiang Longfen Arrested

Agents from the Yongchuan 610 Office in Chongqing arrested Ms. Jiang Longfen, who resided in Nanan District, and took her to Yongchuan District.

19. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Lin Lifang Detained

Ms. Lin Lifang was taken to the Jiaoling County Detention Center on May 28, 2012.

20. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhang Dongmei Detained

Ms. Zhang Dongmei, over 50, was arrested by officers from the Pozijie Police Station for explaining the facts about Falun Gong to people in Pozijie, Changsha City, on the afternoon of June 11, 2012. She is being held in a detention center.

21. [Shiyan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Chu Yugui Sentenced to 4 Years in Prison

The Zhushan County Court in Hubei Province tried Mr. Chu Yugui from Yunmeng, Hubei, on May 15, 2012, and sentenced him to 4 years in prison.

22. [Shanghai] Mr. Xu Yongbin Arrested

Mr. Xu Yongbin from Meishan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. of Baosteel Group Corp. was arrested on June 10, 2012.

23. [Inner Mongolia] Mr. Zhou Jian Passed Away in Baoanzhao Prison Due to Persecution

Mr. Zhou Jian from Zharumutai Township, Inner Mongolia, was taken to the Baoanzhao Prison in Inner Mongolia by officer Zhang Shibin in December 2007. Mr. Zhou passed away in the prison due to the persecution in the spring of 2012, when he was about 58 years old.
