Zhai Hui Detained for Over a Month, His Family Not Allowed to Visit

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhai Hui was arrested by officers from Shenhe Police Department and Binhe Police Station on April 15, 2012. He was charged with “suspicion of installing a satellite dish and disclosing state secrets.” This arrest was planned and arranged by the State Security Unit of Shenyang Police Department. His case has been handed to the Procuratorate to put extra pressure on Mr. Zhai.

Zhai Hui worked at the Shenyang Food Fermentation Research Center and Liaoning Livestock Feed Research Center. After he started practicing Falun Gong, he worked hard and became honest and kind to everyone. He often assumed the workload of several people. Not only did he do research, he also worked as a purchaser and a tester. He paid little attention to how much he was paid. He was praised and trusted by his manager.

Mr. Zhai used to work as a bartender. He drank and tested any alcohol he came across. After he started practicing Falun Dafa, he stopped drinking altogether. And his atrophic rhinitis and duodenal ulcer disappeared without any medical intervention.

At the time of his arrest, Mr. Zhai’s daughter, who is in seventh grade, was at home, too. When she saw her innocent father being persecuted by the police and saw them taking a computer and other things, she tried to stop them. An officer Gao threatened to hit her. She piped up, “Do you think state secrets are made of paper? How can we disclose state secrets by watching satellite TV? Isn’t the satellite made in this country? Why can't people in China watch the same radio and television programs that are watched by people around the world?”

Officers who participated in the arrest included: Zhou, assistant captain of State Security Unit of Shenhe Police Department Zhou; Gao; Cui Nin, director of Binhe Police Station; Ren Feng; Liu; and others―over ten in total.

Mr. Zhai is currently in Shenhe District Detention Center. His mother is sick and needs his help. Police have not allowed anyone in his family to visit him.

His wife and daughter have appealed to the proper agencies to demand his release, but to no avail.
