(Minghui.org) I work as a doctor in a hospital. Since I started practicing Falun Gong in February 1999, I've had many miraculous experiences. I want to share one of them here.
One day after lunch, I went to work in the hospital duty room. I heard a little girl crying when I was passing by the out-patient department. I followed the sound and looked for her. I saw four or five people standing together by the stairs, and a little girl was squatting against the wall. She seemed to be about 10 years old. As she sobbed, she hit the back of her head against the wall. Two people tried to stop her from hurting herself, while the rest of them were just standing there and also crying. I immediately went to her, helped her stand up, and asked: “What happened? I'm on duty today. If you need any help, just let me know.”
She stopped crying, but her eyes were swollen and red. She looked at me as if in great pain. I combed her hair with my fingers and noticed a large clump of hair was gone. I felt very sad for her and asked, “What is your name?” She answered in a hoarse voice, “I'm Ermao.” Then a middle-aged lady began to talk to me. She said the little girl was her daughter and they lived in a small town in the countryside. Ermao was recently diagnosed with a tumor in her brain that was located in a very nerve-rich area. It was very risky to have surgery, since it might result in her being completely paralyzed. Whenever she had a headache, she couldn't control herself. She shouted, cried uncontrollably, hit herself against the wall, and tore out her hair. Her mother didn't know what to do, so she took Ermao to the hospital and thought maybe a doctor could give her some sleeping pills, so she could calm down. But the doctors said she didn't have any mental problems and couldn't give her sleeping pills.
Looking at her, I thought, “If the hospital can't cure her, why not ask her to try another method, and perhaps a miracle will happen.” I said to her mother, “I have a good idea. If she tries it, maybe a miracle will happen.” Her mother replied, “What good idea?” I told her, “Have her recite two sentences. They are very easy to remember. Come with me. Let's go to my office.”
I took Ermao to the duty room and took out a Dafa amulet (1) from my purse. I pointed at the sentences on the amulet and asked Ermao to read them. Her mother said, “I'm afraid she can't read. She is 17 years old, but because she had a severe thyroid deficiency, she is very short and is also mentally retarded. She didn't go to school and only learned about 100 characters from a special education school. Now she has a tumor in her head. Poor girl!”
Then Ermao's father said, “Ermao stopped crying after she saw you. Maybe you two have a special predestined relationship!” Everybody suddenly realized that Ermao had indeed stopped crying since I met her. I also realized that Ermao was there to be connected with Dafa. I pointed at the amulet and said to her, “Let me teach you to read 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are good.'” She repeated these words twice with a lisp and then said to me quite happily, “Thank you.” Everybody present felt very happy for her.
I got a pen and some paper to teach her to write, “Falun Dafa is good.” She wrote it twice without a mistake. Then she put down the pen and heshied to me, saying, “Thank you so much!” Her father said gratefully, “We've met a living deity today. She was in so much pain, but after only a short while, she is smiling with joy.” I said to them, “She has a predestined relationship with Dafa. You can ask her to write 'Falun Dafa is good' every day after you get home. I will also give you a DVD of the Shen Yun show to watch when you get back.”
When I took out the Shen Yun DVD from the drawer, Ermao suddenly knelt on the ground and heshied to me, again saying, “Thank you!” I said, “You should thank the teacher of Dafa!” Everyone in the room was very moved. Her father asked for my name and phone number. He also wanted to give me 200 yuan, but I didn't take it. I gave the Shen Yun DVD to her father and said, “As Falun Gong practitioners, we don't take any money. She has been blessed by our teacher today. If you want to thank someone, just tell your relatives and friends what has happened today, and let them know that Falun Dafa is the Buddha Fa.”
After they left, I felt so touched that tears ran down my cheeks. Teacher is so compassionate. He resolved such huge suffering for Ermao in just a few minutes. Ermao had completely recovered and went home happy, another person.
Several months later, I received a strange phone call from someone in another city. A mother asked me if I had cured a little girl's tumor. I asked her how she knew about it. She told me that her daughter was sick and had just returned home after having been in the hospital some time. They went to a clinic of a famous Chinese medicine doctor, who told them he wasn't able to cure the tumor, but he knew about another girl with the same problem that had been resolved without medicine, that another method had been used. This mother and her daughter visited Ermao at home. She said that Ermao was doing very well and was writing “Falun Dafa is good” every day at home. The mother said she also wanted to take her daughter to see me. I said, “You don't have to come all the way here. Just ask your daughter to recite 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are good' every day.” She was very happy and said she would ask her daughter to do it.
Note: (1) Amulets – In China, practitioners sometimes clarify the truth by giving people something small to wear or cherish, bearing a few words reminding them of the goodness of Dafa.
