Greetings, Fellow Practitioners!
I am a young practitioner who started to practice Falun Dafa during the Fa rectification period. It has been four years. Looking back on my cultivation, I realized it's been a process of self-improvement, correcting myself under Master's compassionate care. Sometimes I did not do well, and my xinxing level dropped to the level of ordinary people. But I still put cultivation as my first priority, because I know my ultimate goal is to return to my true self. So every time I notice that my xinxing level has dropped down or I am facing tribulations, I will try to do well according to Dafa's requirements. I know this is the normal state of cultivation as described by Master.
1. Obtain the Fa, Cultivate, and Improve Xinxing Level
I have believed in gods and Buddhas since I was a child, although I knew very little about the spiritual realm. When I was in my freshman year, I started to encounter Buddhism. I knew in my heart that I wanted to cultivate. Maybe I had some predestined relationship with Zen Buddhism. I started to practice Zen Buddhism, but I felt vaguely inside my heart that I was still waiting for something.
I learned about Falun Dafa via the Internet. I browsed through the book Zhuan Falun. When I read the second talk, "About the Third Eye," I felt the muscles on my forehead between my eyebrows were tight, drilling inward, as the book described. This led me to believe in Dafa.
Later I contacted other Falun Dafa practitioners, and obtained a copy of Zhuan Falun. Holding the book, looking at the photo of Master, it felt so familiar, as though I had known Master a long time ago. When I finished reading the book, I was determined to practice Falun Dafa following Master. I understood that this was the true Dafa that I had been looking for. I stopped everything I had practiced before and took up the path of Falun Dafa cultivation with diligence and a sincere attitude. Because I firmly believe in Dafa, I have had many magical experiences. My chronic sinusitis was healed after I had been practicing for less than two weeks. Every night I could feel the Falun's rotation in my lower abdomen. Each time I did the second exercise, I could feel the Falun's rotation. I felt the strong energy flow between my arms and at the laogong point, etc. This experience at the beginning of my cultivation enhanced my belief in Dafa and Master. My xinxing improved every day. I became kind and sincere to others, and now think of other people first all the time. I know I am cultivating following the universe's characteristics of Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance. Before the practice I considered myself a rare good person. But measured by the standard of Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance, I realized that I was not as good as I thought. I could not see many of my shortcomings when measured against the standards of ordinary people.
As Master said in Zhuan Falun:
"Some people evaluate themselves with the declined moral standard. Because the criteria for assessment have changed, they consider themselves better than others. No matter how the human moral standard changes, this characteristic of the universe remains unchanged, and it is the sole criterion that distinguishes good people from bad people. As a practitioner, one must then conduct oneself by following this characteristic of the universe rather than the standards of everyday people."
At the beginning of my practice, I encountered some interference from my family. My mother suddenly fell seriously ill and was hospitalized. My brother, who teaches atheism politics, often made fun of me: “You do not kill, but why do you eat meat? " Facing these tests, I was not moved and continued to practice and clarify the truth about Falun Dafa. I did not let the interference affect my efforts at truth clarification. Master knows all this. His compassionate arrangement made my situation improve. My mother improved a lot. She was discharged and returned home. My brother changed from being against the practice to agreeing with Dafa principles and reading Zhuan Falun. He had a predestined relationship with Dafa and started to practice. One day I dreamed my whole family was on the roof of an apartment. My brother suddenly fell, and I tried very hard to reach out and grab him. But a voice in the sky said, "Do not worry. Master is here." After this dream, my brother began to read the Fa and meditate. Because he has a predestined relationship with Dafa, Master opened his celestial eye partially. My brother saw the channel of his celestial eye become bright during mediation. When he was doing the fourth exercise, he saw a bright ball moving around his body, and his gong column pointing towards the sky, etc. Afterwards he started to practice Falun Dafa. My mother gradually started to practice, too. They saw some strange phenomena around the house where my mother lives. She said she saw a bright circle appear around roof for several days. My brother also saw that bright circle around the house when he meditated. Although I cannot explain these phenomena, I want to say our entire family is very grateful to Master. Master brought us Dafa and saved us. I want to express my highest respect and gratitude to Master!
I knew what was about to happen from dreams when I was a child. After becoming a Dafa practitioner, I saw Master in my dreams. I could feel Master's compassion and protection for new practitioners like me. Since the Fa rectification period is close to the end, I realized more and more my predestination and mission.
2. Validating the Fa in the Fa-rectification Period to Assist Master to Save the Sentient Beings
I began to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to save sentient beings when I had practiced less than two weeks. Vietnam and China have the same political system. Most of the news and information is censored. So very few people know about Falun Gong, and most practitioners are young and have not practiced for long. In the summer of 2008, we began a project specifically to clarify the truth of Falun Gong to the Chinese people. Our truth-clarification materials target Chinese tourists. In the beginning we used A4 paper to copy information, and then we learned to print booklets to clarify the truth using the template from the Minghui website. During that time, many fellow practitioners, including myself, experienced interference from the police and security and were arrested. But we were later released.
With the Fa-rectification process, we began the distribution of leaflets, posting information, and sending e-mails telling the truth about Falun Dafa to the locals. My fellow practitioners and I distribute truth clarification materials on the streets. Sometimes we go out at night. With Master's merciful care, our truth clarification material is not lost and I can always return home safely every time.
I have a great predestined relationship with Chinese people. Fellow practitioners and I have been in China three times to help predestined people to learn Falun Dafa. Although I do not speak much Chinese, I helped six people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. I remembered one time on the bus back from China, fellow practitioners and I clarified the truth to a bus driver who understood Vietnamese. He said, "I do not believe the Communist Party, nor do I believe Falun Gong." He did not want to quit the CCP and its affiliated organization. At the border we got off the bus. I hugged him and shook his hand and said, "We come from hundreds of miles away to tell you the truth. It's just for you to have a better future. Please quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations." He was touched by our sincerity and finally quit the CCP using a pseudonym.
Every time we go to China, we meet people who believe Falun Gong practitioners are good people. Some even want to pay for our trip, but we thank them and do not take money. We cultivate Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance, and we should not take money. They are often very touched and ask their friends to bring us gifts. We know Master arranged this to prepare us to help them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
One time a friend of our Chinese friend who knows the truth about Falun Dafa came to Vietnam. Our friend asked us to take him to a good local restaurant. I paid for the dinner, and he wanted to give us 100 yuan in Chinese money as a gift in return. We did not take his money and told him that we were Falun Gong practitioners and could not take money without a good reason. He said it was the first time in his life to see people who did not take money. He told us during the dinner that he and his friends would hide some money from their wives, so they would have money for affairs. I told him that any sexual relationship except marriage was not good and that they should take care of their wives. Later he said, "Now I know Falun Dafa practitioners are really good people. The CCP's propaganda that slanders Falun Gong is lies." We also helped him to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
Our local fellow practitioners and I are aware of the importance of clarifying the truth to the Chinese people. We try our best to do it. Sometimes we bring a bag full of materials and Shen Yun DVDs to the border to give to Chinese tourists. Master always arranges that people come to hear the truth. Master arranged for a young Chinese man to sit next to us on my last trip. I asked Master to save this life in the dim light in the bus. Although I cannot speak much Chinese, with Master's blessing and fellow practitioners’ help, I used the cell phone's LED light to let the young man to see the truth about Dafa and how 110 million people have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, that quitting the CCP offers a better future. Even with the language barrier, the young man withdrew from the Communist Youth League using his real name. I silently thanked Master and was happy that a life was saved.
I cannot always do well. My thoughts and actions are sometimes not good. I need to get rid of the attachment to comfort. I feel sad every time I think of this. I have told myself I cannot fall behind. I know the way of cultivation is very narrow, and going a little bit off track will cause a great loss. With self-improvement, the desire to go home following Master and the vows of saving sentient beings, I will always motivate myself to practice more diligently and complete the final steps on the path of the Fa rectification.
Finally, I want to tell my fellow practitioners from Mainland China that practitioners around the world have great respect for them, and hope we can work together to assist Master to rectify the Fa. We hope we can do better in this last period of history.
