Additional Persecution News from China – May 15, 2012 (Part II) (16 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 8 provinces. In this report, 32 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 17 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Miyi County, Sichuan Province] Taxi Driver Ms. Yang Caifeng Persecuted

Taxi Driver Ms. Yang Caifeng was reported to police while she was talking to a customer about Falun Gong on April 2, 2012. She was taken into custody and her home was ransacked. The police confiscated Falun Dafa books, Falun Gong flyers and DVDs. Ms. Yang was taken to an office in the Yuanlin Hotel in Miyi and transferred to the Miyi Detention Center, where she was detained for 11 days. After being released, Ms. Yang was fired by the taxi company.

2. [Huangmei County, Hubei Province] Abuse by Officers from the Caishan Town Police Station

On the morning of May 10, 2012, Cao Hong, chief of the Caishan Town Police Station, instigated Li Junfeng and three other officers to go to Zhangwanggui Village. They forced Tian Tianxi, a village worker, to lead them to Mr. Wang Shixiang's home. Mr. Wang and his wife were not at home at that time. Then, the police forced Tian to take them to Ms. Wang Honglian's home. They deceived Ms. Wang into opening the door and ransacked the home. Ms. Wang tried to stop them. Li Junfeng sprayed an unknown liquid at her face and ordered another policeman to handcuff her. The police took away a computer, inkjet printer, DVD player, cell phone, password box, clothes and other items. Ms. Wang Honglian's family members went to the police station and requested to get her belongings back. The police refused to see them.

3. [Longkou, Shandong Province] Mr. Tang Zhulong's Recent Situation

Mr. Tang Zhulong and Mr. Jiang Xunliang were sent to a forced labor camp in Zhangqiu for a term of two years. Ms. Miao Chunping was sent to a forced labor camp in Jinan for a term of one year. Ms. Zhuang Shuhua was arrested again.

5. [Chifeng, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Jia Guilan and Her Family Members Arrested

Ms. Jia Guilan and her family members from Kerqin, Chifeng were secretly taken into custody by officers from the Kerqin Police Department around May 7, 2012. Their whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Yitong County, Jilin Province] Mr. Yang Siping and Ms. Zhang Fengyan Arrested

Mr. Yang Siping, in his 50s, and Ms. Zhang Fengyan, 42, from Xinxing Township, Yitong were taken to the Yitong Detention Center by officers from the Yidan Police Station while they were distributing Shen Yun DVDs on May 3, 2012. Ms. Zhang Fengyan was transferred to the Jilin Women's Forced Labor Camp on May 10, 2012. Mr. Yang is still being detained in the Yitong Detention Center.

7. [Chifeng, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zhao Guiqin's Recent Situation

Ms. Zhao Guiqin from Balinzuoqi, Chifeng was arrested by Zhang Haitao and other officers from the Balinzuoqi Domestic Security Division on April 6, 2010. She was sentenced to seven years in prison on June 17, 2010. She has been detained in the second division of Hohhot Women's Prison. Ms. Zhao was forced to do labor. Her family went to visit her recently and found she was very weak. She had symptoms of hypertension and was forced to get shots and intravenous infusions.

8. [Jiaohe, Jilin Province] Ms. Qin Baoying and Ms. Zhang Fengzhen Arrested

Ms. Qin Baoying, 59, and Ms. Zhang Fengzhen, about 60, from Baishishan were arrested on the night of May 12, 2012. They are being detained in the Jiaohe Detention Center.

9. [Jixi, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Jiang Yabin Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Mr. Jiang Yabin and his wife Ms. Zhang Cuiqing from Liumao Village, Liumao Township, Hengshan District, Jixi were taken to a brainwashing center on the morning of May 10, 2012. The couple has been repeatedly persecuted. Mr. Jiang Yabin was detained in a forced labor camp for one year and a prison for three years. After being released from prison, he was taken to a brainwashing center. When Mr. Jiang was arrested for the second time, he was sent to the Yichun Brainwashing Center. On the way to the brainwashing center, the vehicle had a flat tire and Mr. Jiang managed to walk away. He became homeless for more than six months. He went back home a month ago. He only worked for one day and was taken to a brainwashing center for the third time.

10. [Qingdao, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Zhengying Missing for Many Years

Ms. Liu Zhengying worked in the Jiaozhou Pastries Factory in Qingdao. She went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong on July 20, 1999. She is still missing.

11. [Tumen, Jilin Province] Many Falun Gong Practitioners Taken to a Brainwashing Center

By May 14, 2012, four Falun Gong practitioners were taken to the brainwashing center in the Songlin Senior Center in Tumen, including Ms. Zhai Chunmei, who is disabled in both legs, Mr. Du Yonggui, 76, Mr. Jiang Yi and Mr. Li Zhenhui.

12. [Beijing] The Qianjin Prison Detained Many Falun Dafa Practitioners

The Qianjin Prison detained several Falun Gong practitioners who are older than 60 years old, including Mr. Ge Peijun (74), Mr. Li Chang (73), Mr. Wang Zechen (69), Mr. Liu Xigong (67), Mr. Liang Weisheng (64), Mr. Wang Zhiwen (63), Mr. Bao Weizhong (60) and Mr. Guo Dianfang (60). Mr. Ge Peijun has been hospitalized due to the persecution.

13. [Anshan, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lou Yan Arrested

Ms. Lou Yan was taken into custody by officers from the Yongle Police Station in Anshan while she was distributing Falun Gong DVDs near her home on May 13, 2012.

14. [Haozhou, Anhui Province] Fifteen Falun Dafa Practitioners Persecuted

Some Falun Dafa practitioners in Haozhou studied the Fa in a group on May 13, 2012. Officers from the Tangling Police Station arrested 15 practitioners. By 10 p.m. that night, officers from the 610 Office informed the party secretaries of local towns to take 12 practitioners back. Mr. Wang Yusheng and his wife are still detained in the detention center. Mr. Mao Hongchang's whereabouts are unknown.

15. [Zibo, Shandong Province] Mr. Zheng Yuzhang and Ms. Sun Hongfang Arrested

Mr. Zheng Yuzhang and his wife Ms. Sun Hongfang from Qianhuai Village, Taihe Town, Zichuan District, Zibo were taken into custody by Zhuang Guanglei, chief of the Taihe Police Station, and other police while they were putting up Falun Dafa posters on the night of May 11, 2012. Mr. Zheng is being detained in the Zichuan Detention Center while Ms. Sun is in the Zibo Detention Center.

16. [Jianli County, Hubei Province] Ms. Xie Weixiang Arrested

Ms. Xie Weixiang was reported to police while talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of May 14, 2012. Several officers from the Rongcheng Police Station in Jianli took her into custody and detained her in the Jianli Detention Center.
