(Minghui.org) Kindergarten teacher Liu Yinfeng was arrested in November 2008 and was illegally sentenced to three years in prison. She has since been severely tortured at Liaoning Women’s Prison.

Liu Yinfeng was kept in solitary confinement in Ward 7 of the Liaoning Women’s Prison and monitored by two prisoners around the clock. In the evenings, she was not allowed to use the washroom. Since she refused to write the so-called “five letters” to renounce Falun Gong, she was forced to stand for long periods, and deprived of sleep. She was not allowed to close her eyes or squat down or she would be beaten. They forced her to take medication, and when she refused it, they held her down on the ground and forced the medication into her mouth. When she threw away the bottles, three people surrounded her and beat her violently about the head. As a result, her hearing was damaged, and her mouth and face became swollen. She was forced to scrub the floor with steel wire, read books that defamed Dafa, and was forced to write so-called “thoughts reports.” When she refused to write the reports, she was beaten, forced to stand, and tortured for three months. In Ward 7 of the jail, a Mr. Li specialized in organizing the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Other leaders included Liu Shengnan, Liu Jun, and Zhao Binbin. The prisoners involved in torturing her included Wang Lihong (from Beijing, imprisoned for fraud), Ma Liwei (from Dalian, drug convict), Jiang Liwen (from Dalian, imprisoned for fraud), and Zhu Shizhen (from Heilongjiang Province).

Five months later, Liu Yinfeng was transferred to the Aged and Handicapped Section, where the torture continued. At the beginning, she was put on the fifth floor with the sixth team. The prisoners often reported that she sat in the lotus position when in bed (the police forced the practitioners to straighten out their legs in bed, otherwise they were believed to be doing the exercises). One month later, she was again transferred to the third floor, where the third team was. On the third floor, she was kept under strict observation and frequently checked on. No matter whether she was having meals, washing dishes, cleaning, or using the washroom, she was followed everywhere. She was not allowed to speak or to close her eyes. She had no freedom at all. She refused to wear the chest card (the symbol for inmates), and was kicked in the chest by the prisoners. She fell down to the ground immediately. They yanked her hair, pulling out a fistful in the process. When she refused to wear the prisoner's uniform, her clothes were ripped off, leaving her only in her underpants and exposed to the cold. She sat on the floor in double lotus, raised her palm, and sent forth righteous thoughts. At the same time, she cried out, “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good! Stop the persecution! Heaven will eliminate the CCP, and Heaven blesses China!” The police covered her mouth with tape and dragged her into solitary confinement.

On the ice-cold floor of solitary confinement, there was nothing except for a blanket, which was taken away during the day time. The food provided was steamed corn bread and salted vegetables. For the fourteen days in isolation, every day she kept shouting, “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good! Stop the persecution! Heaven eliminates the CCP, and Heaven blesses China!” She kept singing Dafa songs, doing the exercises, and sending forth righteous thoughts. After she came back, she continued to protest against the persecution by refusing to wear the chest card, and refusing the forced labor. The police threatened to fine her, and would not allow her to make any purchases.

Seven months later, she was again sent back to the fourth team on the fifth floor, where she experienced their cursing and beatings, with the behavior of the management becoming even more obscene. When she was transferred from the third floor to the fifth floor, her clothes and suitcase were also taken away. For over a year, it was always fellow practitioners and some kind-hearted prisoners who helped her, giving her clothes to wear. When she was explaining the facts about the persecution to the prisoners to persuade them to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its related organizations, she was often reported. So they kept changing her room and cursing at her. She was once beaten while wrapped up in a blanket. As a result of the beating, she had injuries all over. The police at the Aged and Handicapped Section who persecute Falun Gong practitioners include the section chief named Cong Zuo, a secretary named Zhang, team leaders Sun Chunhua, Li Li, Li Yueling, and prisoners Ma Qiuying, and Li Xiulan.

There are many Falun Gong practitioners at the Liaoning Women’s Prison who were severely persecuted. Liu Mei from Dong Gang was sentenced to 13 years of imprisonment in 2002. As a result of the persecution, she suffered from encephalatrophy and tuberculosis, and came close to dying several times. The police did not allow her to be released for medical treatment. Her husband, Zhu Changming, has since been jailed at Liaoning Men’s Prison. Sun Baojuan, a practitioner from Jinzhou, was persecuted until she was physically exhausted and bloody, and had a relapse of uterine cancer. She was nonetheless still forced to do labor work. Li Cuihua, a practitioner from Chaoyang, was sentenced to a nine-year term. Lan Huizhi, Geng Yufeng, Wang Zhixian, Jia Guihua, Wang Xiangju, Zhao Honglian, and others are still jailed and persecuted at the Aged and Handicapped Section in Liaoning Women’s Jail.

Previous Persecution

Liu Yinfeng, previously a kindergarten teacher from Tumen Reservoir, Hongqi Town, Fengcheng City, had a variety of health problems including chronic dizziness, stomachaches, breast cancer, etc. After learning Dafa, all these illnesses disappeared. She previously had a very bad temper. One time, her supervisor refused to make her a regular worker. She was so upset that she broke the glass window with her fist and tried to jump from the building. Luckily some kind-hearted individual grabbed her by her clothing before she could jump. After cultivating in Falun Dafa, she followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and her state of mind gradually calmed down. She learned to think of others first, and her family became harmonious. She stopped arguing with her supervisor about her job. Whenever someone had some difficulties, she always offered help. Whatever job the others did not want to do, she was ready to do it. She also took care of her parents' farm, including spring plowing, autumn harvest, etc.

After July 20, 1999 when the CCP began its persecution against Falun Gong, Liu Yinfeng told everyone around her about how her experience of studying the Fa and doing the exercises benefited her. Whomever she met, she clarified the truth to them.

In the summer of 2002, Liu Yinfeng was reported when she was discussing the facts about Falun Gong. As a result, she was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp. Liu Yinfeng was subjected to all kinds of torture, and nearly died. She was bailed out for treatment after authorities extorted 15,000 yuan from her family.

On November 15, 2008, Liu Yinfeng, Leng Dongmei, and Wang Chunzhen were arrested by director Ju Chunbo and officer Hong Jiang from Hongqi Police Substation when they were clarifying the truth at Group Three, Hongqi Town. They were detained at Fengcheng Detention Center on the same evening for thirteen days before they were transferred to Dandong Detention Center. Liu Yinfeng went on a hunger strike to protest against the persecution. As a result, she became very weak physically and developed tumors on her leg.

In March 2009, Fengcheng Court secretly held a sham court hearing led by trial judge Xu Hongren, Wan Kaifu, Lu Jingyi, Prosecutors Tang Jinfeng, Zhao Enfang, Wang Jun, and others. Liu Yinfeng was sentenced to three years, and Leng Dongmei was sentenced to four years. Wang Chunzhen was sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp by the Fengcheng Public Security Bureau. Liu Yinfeng appealed to the Dandong Intermediate Court, but the appeal was denied. The judgment was rendered by Yu Yiqing, Feng Taimin, Tian Xuyan, and Anni.
