(Minghui.org) A Falun Gong practitioner was sent to a detention center in another county after she was illegally arrested. She clarified the truth about Falun Gong to the police while they drove her to the center. She said, “I am a Dafa practitioner, and I have done nothing wrong. I refuse to wear the uniform, nor will I recite your rules.”
She tried to tell the facts to everyone she met. Within a few days, many people, including guards, had learned that Falun Gong was good. Dafa's compassion and dignity influenced everyone in the detention center. The guards treated her differently. She was allowed to recite the Fa and practice the exercises any time she wanted. The seven to eight criminals who were held in the same cell with her started to get to know her. Even those who used to play cards and smoke also hung out with her.
She told them about the movement to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. When she first mentioned it, no one replied, but they were thinking about it. The second time she mentioned it, the head of the cell said, “I will quit. I joined the Youth League when I was in school.” Then all seven agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. From that point on, they no longer called her by her name; they instead called her “Falun Gong practitioner” and started to learn the Falun Gong exercises and practice with her. Since they did not have the book in the cell, she taught them how to recite the verses of the exercises. All seven of them began to repeat the verses together out loud. After hearing this, the male criminals in the next cell started to recite the verses with them. The sound of voices reciting the verses of the exercises reverberated throughout the detention center.
This touched everyone's heart. Since it was in the evening, only a few guards were there. They did not say anything, but enjoyed Dafa's compassion. This was how the detention was turned into an exercise site. That practitioner went on a hunger strike and was released in seven days.
