(Minghui.org) Since the first introduction of Falun Dafa to the public in China by Mr. Li Hongzhi on May 13, 1992, Falun Dafa has spread to over 100 countries in the world. Countless people benefit in both body and mind from practicing Faun Dafa. For the occasion of the coming May 13th, 2012, the World Falun Dafa Day, Prime Minister Stephen Harper and several other ministers wrote greeting letters to the Canada Falun Dafa Association, commending Falun Dafa’s contributions to the society. This is the 7th consecutive year the Prime Minister has written a greeting letter in recognition of Falun Dafa Day.

Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, founded by Mr. Li Hongzhi, is a high-level practice of self-cultivation based on the Buddha School of teachings with the highest qualities of the universe—Zhen, Shan, Ren (Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance) as the fundamental guide. Practiced by tens of millions of people around the world, Falun Dafa has been proved to be the orthodox great way of cultivation and practice to bring true practitioners towards high levels. At the same time, Falun Dafa has made an immeasurably positive effect on maintaining social stability and improving people's physical and moral standards.

Minister of the Environment: Falun Dafa Has Brought Spiritual Fulfillment and Good Health to Millions of People

Falun Dafa Congratulations

March 20, 2012

It is a pleasure to offer greetings and congratulations in the celebration of two full decades of Falun Dafa – the meditation practice that has swept around the world since its introduction by Li Hongzhi on May 13th, 1992.

It has brought spiritual fulfillment and good health to millions of people ---- an estimated 100 million people in about 120 countries ---- pursuing mental and physical well-being through the gentle exercises, meditation, and virtues of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.

Of course, even as we celebrate this 20th anniversary, we must remember the many practitioners who have been subjected to persecution for their beliefs.

Canada consistently calls on the Chinese government to protect the rights to freedom of expression, association and spiritual belief of all Chinese citizens including Falun Gong practitioners.

I commend the Falun Dafa Association of Canada for sharing your practices and traditions with all Canadians.

I extend my best wishes for yet another joyous and memorable celebration.

Thank you.
