(Minghui.org) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 25 cities or counties in 12 provinces. In this report, 26 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 39 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Huaian City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Shi Feng's Prison Terms Illegally Extended by Jiangsu Women's Forced Labor Camp Officials

On the afternoon of April 17, 2011, Ms. Shi Feng, a retired employee of Huaiyin State Hotel in Huaian City, was arrested by police officer Wang Jianhuai and others from Qinghe District Domestic Security Division while explaining the facts of the persecution to people. She was taken to a detention center and subsequently sentenced to one year of imprisonment at Jiangsu Women's Forced Labor Camp. On April 16 this year, she finished her one year term, but the forced labor camp officials refused to release her and extended her term by two months.

4. [Weihai, Shandong Province] Details of Ms. Wang Diansong and Other Practitioners' Arrest

The night of May 12, Ms. Wang Diansong and another practitioner from Lixin Village, Xujiadian Town, Haiyang City were hanging a Falun Dafa banner when a police officer chased them in his car. An eyewitness saw the two women surrounded by three police cars, and 68-year-old Wang Diansong was lying on the road. Later on the police sent both of them to Chucun Hospital. It was reported that when Wang Diansong was taken to the hospital, she was already dead.

5. [Jinan, Shandong Province] Husband and Wife, Ms. Liu Yanlei and Mr Zhang Guangping, Arrested and Taken to a Detention Center

On the afternoon of May 14, Liu Yanlei and Zhang Guangping were sent to the detention center by police from Dongfeng Police Station. Liu Yanlei may have been sent to Zhonggong Detention Center and Zhang Guangping may be detained at Licheng Detention Center.

6. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Yuzhen Arrested by Police

On the morning of May 14, Ms. Wang Yuzhen was arrested while posting Falun Gong messages in public areas. In the afternoon, her family went to Wenchang Street Police Station to ask for her release, but the police refused to let them see her.

7. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Sun Guijie Arrested

On the morning of May 14, head of Handian Town Police Station Yuan Chunpeng led four police officers including Zhang Zhigang to Ms. Sun Guijie's house in Changfeng Village. They broke into her house and confiscated Falun Gong books, Master's image, lecture tapes, Shen Yun DVDs, a NTD Television receiver satellite dish, a computer, two color printers, three boxes of blank DVDs and other personal belongings. They also arrested Ms. Sun's husband, Mr. Xiao Yalin. Sun Guijie was detained when she subsequently went to the police station to ask for her husband's release. She is now detained at Shuangcheng Detention Center. Her husband Xiao Yalin was released that afternoon.

8. [Wuzhong City, Ningxia Autonomous Region] Information on Mr. Zhang Xiaodong's Arrest

Mr. Zhang Xiaodong has returned home from Yinchuan Prison. Recently, he was harassed by police officers from Wuzhong City Domestic Security Division including Ma Baozhen. He has been forced to leave home and go from place to place to avoid persecution.

9. [Chongqing] Ms. Wang Ya Arrested

On May 4, Ms. Wang Ya, who left home to avoid the persecution, returned to get some clothes. She was arrested by Liang Shibing and other police officers from Jiangbei District, who was waiting outside her house. She is now detained at Yuzui Detention Center in Jiangbei District.

10. [Huaian City, Jiangsu Province] A Dozen Practitioners Arrested

On the afternoon of May 13, a dozen elderly female practitioners were studying the Fa at Ms. Shao's house in Qingpu District. Many police officers broke into the house and arrested the practitioners, taking them back to the police station. A five-year-old child was also arrested. It is known that grandmother Shao, Liu, Yin and Ms. Zhang Suying and her grandson were amongst those arrested. That night, two of them were released and the child was brought home by his family. The others are still being detained.

11. [Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Xuebin Arrested by Police

The afternoon of April 25, elderly Mr. Wang Xuebin was arrested by Li Hong and other police officers from Xincheng Police Station while telling people the facts about Falun Gong in a park. He was taken to the police station and bound to an iron chair. The police slapped him in the face five to six times. His family rushed to the police station to ask for his release, and the elderly man safely returned home that day.

On April 12, Li Hong went to two other practitioners' houses and confiscated three Falun Gong books. He also damaged a door.

12. [Qianjiang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xiong Chunxiu Arrested and Taken to Brainwashing Center

Agents from Xiangyang branch 610 Office in Jianghan Oilfield in Qianjiang City recently arrested Ms. Xiong Chunxiu, who is in her 70s, and sent her to a brainwashing center. Her house was ransacked and a practitioner who has gone astray was sent to her house to brainwash her husband, who is in his 80's.

Last November, Ms. Cai Xinyan, sisters Ms. Hu Shenglan and Ms. Hu Shenglian, Mr. Zhang Xiangbi and Mr. Han Aimin were arrested one after another. They were subjected to brutal torture, including being kept handcuffed behind their backs for long periods of time by police from the Domestic Security Division. They've recently faced court trial.

16. [Pan County, Guizhou Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested

On the night of April 12, police from Pan County Police Department and the Domestic Security Division arrested nine practitioners. At present, three practitioners have been released while the following six are still held custody: Mr. Zheng Weichao, Ms. Chen Rong, Mr. Chen Mingsai, Mr. Li Zhilin, Ms. Li Kaicui and Mr. Guan Fuchun. They are now detained at Pan County Detention Center.

17. [Jiamusi, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Lu Jiajun Arrested

On the morning of May 15, Mr. Lu Jiajun, a primary school teacher in Wangjiang Town, was arrested by the political and judiciary committee and the principal of Zhongxin School. He was taken to a brainwashing center.

18. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong] Ms. Xue Xiumei Arrested by Zhongyun Police Station Personnel

On the morning of May 15, Ms. Xue Xiumei, in her 60s, was arrested by Jiaozhou 610 Office and police from Zhongyun Police Station while she was at home.

On the night of May 11, Ms. Chen Xiuzhi, Ms. Meng Xianmin and Mr. Lin Demin from Lanling Town were arrested by police while hanging banners. They were taken to Shuangcheng City Domestic Security Division.

23. [Huangmei County, Hubei Province] Additional Information Regarding the Arrest of Ms. Dai Meixia

Ms. Dai Meixia from Huihuang Village, Xiaochi Town was arrested on the morning of May 10. Officers from Domestic Security Division and the Xiaochi Police Department made the arrest. They ransacked her residence and took away two computers and Falun Gong books. They also arrested and took Ms. Dai's father to Huangmei County, and released him the next day. Ms. Dai was taken to the Hubei Province Brainwashing Center.

24. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Hongyu Arrested

On May 15, Ms. Li Hongyu from Meichang Town, Wuqing District was arrested while telling people the facts about Falun Gong. She was sent to Wuqing District Detention Center on the afternoon of May 15.

25. [Wuchang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Fang Arrested

On the early morning of May 14, Liu Fang from Zhiguang Village was arrested by Chengxin Police Station police on his way to work. Subsequently, Zhan Zhigang and five police officers from Wuchang City Domestic Security Division ransacked his house, confiscating a portrait of the founder of Falun Gong and other belongings. Liu Fang is detained at Wuchang City Detention Center, where he is currently on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

26. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Shuchan's Blood Pressure Rose to Over 200 As a Result of Persecution

Ms. Chen Shuchan was arrested on April 17. She is now detained at Yaojia Detention Center. Her family and lawyer asked to see her, but they were denied. According to inside information, Chen Shuchan's blood pressure has now risen to over 200 mm Hg.

27. [Zhucheng, Shandong] Update on the Persecution of Practitioners in Zhucheng

Ms. Qiu Jiaxiu was released from the No 2 Labor Camp in Wangcun, Shandong in 2010. Mr. Ren Bingyu, Mr. Wang Cheng, Mr. Dou Jinbao, Ms. Lu Guijuan, Ms. Liu Xixiang, Ms. Liu Peizhi, Mr. Lin Shuhua, Mr. Li Wensheng, Mr. Tai Guishan, Mr. Li Liang, Mr. Zhao Chongsen, Ms. Wang Lili and others were sentenced and imprisoned at Jinan Prison.
