Additional Persecution News from China – May 25, 2012 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in seven provinces. In this report, six Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least ten practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Chongxin County, Gansu Province] Mr. Wei Haiwen Missing for Nine Years

Mr. Wei Haiwen, 30 years old, is from the Fourth Team of Fengtai, Baishu Village, Baishu Township, Chongxin County, Gansu Province. He disappeared on the afternoon of October 25, 2003 and his whereabouts have remained unknown since then.

Mr. Wei went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong in 1999. He was arrested and officers from his local police station brought him back to Gansu and held him for five months. In 2000, he was arrested again for handing out informational materials about Falun Gong in Langfang and was held for three months. Mr. Wei was arrested one more time in 2001 and was released on January 14, 2002.

2. [Chongqing] Mr. Zhang Liyi Arrested

Mr. Zhang Liyi, 46 years old, is a teacher in Bishan County, Chongqing. He was secretly arrested in Chongqing by officers from the Bishan County Domestic Security Division, County Police Department, Chongqing State Security Bureau and Chongqing Police Department on May 4, 2012.

3. [Wangdu County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zheng Caiqin Arrested

Ms. Zheng Caiqin from Xiaojia Village, Zhonghanzhuang Township, Wangdu County was arrested by officers from the Wangdu Town Police Station on the afternoon of May 22, 2012.

4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Qi Wantao and Ms. Xu Yulan Arrested

Ms. Xu Yulan and Ms. Qi Wantao were arrested on the morning of May 19, 2012 while sending forth righteous thoughts outside of the Wuchang District Court of Wuhan Cit,y where seven practitioners including Mr. Zhang Weijie were on trial. Ms. Xu Yulan was released after officers ransacked her home. Ms. Qi Wantou's whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Xiaoming Arrested

Mr. Li Xiaoming from Songyuan City, Jilin Province was arrested at his own store and taken to the Changling County Police Department by officers from the Changling County Domestic Security Division and the Ningjiang District Police Department Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of May 22, 2012.

6. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Additional Information about the Arrests of Ms. Wang Xuemei and Ms. Wang Xuejie

Ms. Wang Xuejie's husband was released from detention on May 22, 2012. Ms. Wang Xuemei and Ms. Wang Xuejie are being held in the Tangchi Detention Center of Dandong.

7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Pei Hua Arrested

Ms. Pei Hua from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province was arrested by officers from the Huanggu Domestic Security Divisioin and the Xinle Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong on Nujiang Street on the morning of May 21, 2012. She was transferred to the Shenyang First Detention Center.

8. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Peng Changguo Arrested

Agents from the Duozhuang Town Police Station and 610 Office in Mengyin County, Linyi City arrested Mr. Peng Changguo at his home on the morning of May 22, 2012.

9. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Shufen from Jinzhou Sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp on May 9, 2012 for a Term of One Year

10. [Tianjin] Ms. Duan Huiqin Arrested

Ms. Duan Huiqin from Dongli District, Tianjin was taken to the Fengniancun Police Station by market administration staff for talking to people about Falun Gong in the market on May 20, 2012. She is being held in the Dongli Detention Center.

11. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Benliang Persecuted

Mr. Wang Benliang from Laoshan District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province was taken to the Jinan Second Forced Labor Camp by officers from the Jiushuilu Police Station in Licang District on May 23, 2012.

12. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Additional Information about the Arrests of Ms. Wang Fenghua and Ms. Zhai Cuixia

Ms. Zhai Cuixia and Ms. Wang Fenghua from Yuanbaoshan Town were arrested on the afternoon of April 13, 2012. They are being held in the Pingzhuang Detention Center in the Yuanbaoshan District.

Guided by Bajia Village deputy director Sun Cai, officers from the local police station ransacked Ms. Wang Fenghua's home and confiscated a lot of Falun Gong books, informational materials, computers, printers, printing paper, DVDs, cash and other items.
