(Minghui.org) On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the introduction of Falun Dafa to the public, Steven Bellone, County Executive of the County of Suffolk, Long Island, New York, presented a proclamation to recognize the thirteenth day of May as World Falun Dafa Day in Suffolk County.

Proclamation

Whereas: the office of the Suffolk County Executive is proud to recognize those outstanding individuals and organizations that strive to enrich and improve the quality of life for all of your residents; and

Whereas: the practice of Falun Dafa is a traditional Chinese spiritual discipline that encourages people to be thoughtful of others at all times and to be good people. It consists of moral teachings, a meditation and four exercises as a way to improve the health and condition of one’s body; and

Whereas: the cultivation practice of Falun Dafa is guided by the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance; and

Whereas: since its introduction in New York in the year nineteen hundred and ninety-six, Falun Dafa workshops have been given in senior centers, schools, colleges, corporate offices, health clubs, private residences and libraries throughout Suffolk County.

Now, Therefore, I, Steven Bellone, as County Executive of the County of Suffolk do hereby recognize the thirteenth day of May as

World Falun Dafa Day

in Suffolk County as it continues to be practiced and cherished by millions of people in more than one hundred and fourteen countries.
