(Minghui.org) The Chinese authorities have illegally arrested over 50 Falun Gong practitioners in Weifang City, Shandong Province over a three-month period, from January to March 2012. Among them, thirteen are from Weifang, nine are from Changle County, nine are from Gaomi City, eight are from Shouguang City, six are from Changyi City, six are from Anqiu City, and six are from Zhucheng City and Qingzhou City. The number of practitioners who have been secretly arrested is likely much higher.
Thirteen practitioners from Weifang City arrested
Party secretary Zhou Xuezhong and Wangliu Street patrol officer Qi Chuanying arrested Mr. Xu Qingchang at his home in the Weicheng District of Weifang on the morning of January 5. They confiscated his computer, printer, a picture of Master Li Hongzhi, Falun Dafa books and other personal belongings.
Ms. Cao Guiqin from the Gaoxin District in Weifang was arrested by police officer Gu Jianyong at a clothes shop on January 6.
Ms. Chi Xiaomei from the Gaoxin Development District in Weifang was scheduled to be released from a forced labor camp on January 20. However, the authorities took her directly to Weifang Brainwashing Center instead. She has now had to leave home to avoid further persecution.
Ms. Wang Ruiying, 67, from Nanhu Small District, Kuiwen District, Weifang was arrested by officers from Dayu Street Office Police Station when she was seen talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning on February 9. She has since been released.
Mr. Yuan Kun and Ms. Mao Aijuan, husband and wife, from Fangzi District were arrested on February 17. They are currently held in Weifang Detention Center.
Ms. Wei Dehui and Ms. Yu Lili from the Weicheng District were arrested for distributing truth clarification materials on February 27. That same afternoon, five officers from Kuiwen District Public Security Bureau arrested Ms. Zhang Dongmei, who was working at a market in Weifang.
Ms. Li Chunzhen, in her 60s, from Liujia Village, Kuiwen District, was arrested on February 28 in Dingjiaji, when she was seen talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Zhao Huidong, 61, from Guangming Small District in Kuiwen was arrested at her home on the same day. After she was seen clarifying the facts to people, officers from Guangwen Police Station in Kuiwen followed her home and arrested her. Ms. Zhao has since been released.
Ms. Sun Hong'e from Kangcheng Small District, Gaoxin District, was taken to a detention center in March, where she was tortured. Ms. Shi Wenli from the College Dorm District in Weifang was arrested by police from the Gaoxin Development District in Weifang.
Ms. Sun Xiuli from Caijialou, Weifang Development District, was arrested on March 27.
Mr. Yu Wei and Mr. Zhao Jingquan from Weifang went to Changle County to clarify the facts about Falun Gong in the morning on March 30. They were arrested by police from Changle County and were taken to Changle Detention Center.
Nine practitioners from Changle County arrested
Officers from Chengguan Police Station and Kaifaqu Police Station in Changle broke into Mr. Pan Xiaofu's home on the afternoon of March 3. They arrested him, his wife Ms. Ge Jinhua and their guest Mr. Miao Yusheng. Mr. Pan, in his 70s, is retired from a salt shipping station in Changle. The three of them have since been released.
Ms. Meng Zhaomei, 60, from the Changle Agriculture Bank family housing, was arrested by officers from the domestic security division on March 5. She has since been released.
Mr. Ge Guangyi, who works at the Changle clothes factory, was arrested on the afternoon of March 6 by officers from the domestic security division. He has since been released.
Mr. Hu Jinyan and his wife Ms. Guo Sufen from Changle were arrested at around midday on March 19. Ms. Guo has since been released.
Mr. Zhang Shouxin and his wife were arrested at their home by agents from Changle 610 Office on the afternoon of March 27. They ransacked their home and confiscated their laptops, a printer, a picture of Master Li, Falun Dafa books and other personal belongings.
Nine practitioners from Gaomi City arrested
Ms. Shan Huilian from Gaomi City was arrested by four officers from Dongguan Police Station on the morning of February 18, when she was seen talking to people about Falun Gong. Ms. Shan has since been released.
Ms. Zhang Meilan from Gaomi was arrested at home on the afternoon of February 23, when officers from Nan'guan Police Station pried open her door and windows, and broke into her home. They confiscated a laptop, printer, a picture of Master Li, Falun Dafa books, 400 yuan in cash and other personal belongings. Those who were involved in the arrest were: deputy director Dan (first name unknown), Dan Chao, Yu Lei and Wang Yiliang. Ms. Zhang has since been released.
Ms. Zhong Shulan from Gaomi was arrested on the morning of February 27 in front of Gaomi Town Hall and was subsequently taken to Jiaotong Police Station. She has since been released.
Ms. Qin Yuemei, in her 40s, from Yijiazhuang Village, Heyai, Xiazhuang Town in Gaomi was arrested by officers from Heyai Police Station on the afternoon of February 29.
Ms. Ju Zongmei, in her 50s, from Yaotou Village in Gaomi, was arrested on the morning of March 3, when she was seen talking to people about Falun Gong. She has since been released.
Ms. Chen Xuejun and her husband (not a practitioner) were at home in Lijiazhuang, Yaogezhuang Town, Gaomi on the evening of March 5, when over 20 officers from Yaogezhuang Police Station broke into their home and arrested them. They have since been released.
Ms. Yang Xueqin and Ms. Weichi Xiuxia were distributing Falun Gong materials at a market in Chaigou Town, Gaomi on the morning of March 14, when officers from Chaigou Town Police Station arrested them. Ms. Yang Xueqin has since been released.
Eight practitioners from Shouguang City arrested
Ms. Wang Guangsu, 76, is a retiree from the Chahe Salt Plant in Shouguang City, Shandong Province. She was arrested in January, when she was seen talking to people about Falun Gong in Cangsheng Park. Ms. Wang has since been released.
Meng Xiangdong, Meng Lingchen, Yan Jiwen and Ms. Guo Xiuqing from Jitai Town in Shouguang were arrested by officer Zhao Dengxiao from Jitai Town Police Station and Guo Hongtang from Shouguang Domestic Security Division on February 27. Ms. Guo Xiuqing has since been released.
Liu Xiangting from Dongli Village, Tianma Town in Shouguang was arrested by police from Changle County on the afternoon of March 3. Ms. Zhang Xiuhua and Ms. Zhang Shufeng from Shouguang were also arrested in March, and were held in a brainwashing center. Ms. Zhang Xiuhua has since been released.
Six practitioners from Changyi City arrested
Wang Weizhi and Wang Xirong from Changyi City in Shandong Province were arrested on the afternoon of February 10.
Agents from Changyi 610 Office and officers from Beimeng Police Station arrested Cao Wangshui from Caogezhuang City, Beimeng Town on March 12. Mr. Wu Jianbang and his wife, from Da'nanmeng Village in Beimeng, were arrested on March 14.
Ms. Zhang Yingli from Puzhuang Town was arrested on the afternoon of March 16.
Six practitioners from Anqiu City arrested
Ms. Ai Mayu and her husband Mr. Song were arrested at their home in Anqiu City on January 5.
Ms. Cui Shiyun was arrested on February 19 when she was seen talking to people about Falun Gong in Anqiu.
Ms. Han Mei from Anqiu was arrested on the morning of March 25, by officers from Dawenhe Police Station when she was seen talking to people about Falun Gong.
Ms. Gao Shifen was arrested on March 26, and Ms. Zhang Guixiu was arrested on the morning of March 29.
Six practitioners from Zhucheng City and Qingzhou City arrested
Ms. Li Chunying and Ms. Wang Ruizhen from Dazhusupu Village, Shiqiaozi Town in Zhucheng City were arrested on February 9, by village police officer Cui (first name unknown) and officers from Shiqiaozi Police Station.
Ms. Guo Yumei, Mr. Liu Peihong and Ms. Yu Ruiyan from Chucheng City were arrested on March 4, but have since been released.
Mr. Zhang Shouxiang from Qingzhou City was arrested in February, by police from Linqu County, while he was at a practitioner's house in Linqu.
