(Minghui.org) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in eight provinces. As per this report, four practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 20 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Lanxi County, Heilongjiang Province] Additional Information Regarding the Arrest of Ms. Sun Xia, Ms. Ma Yulan, and Ms. Wang Guojun

Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Sun Xia, Ms. Ma Yulan, Ms. Wang Guojun were illegally arrested and taken to the Lanxi Detention Center on the afternoon of April 24. Ms. Sun Xia is suffering from mental disorder due to the torture. Domestic Security Division agents ransacked Ms. Sun's home the afternoon of April 25 and took away Falun Gong banners, CDs, truth-clarification brochures and Falun Gong books. Ms. Ma Yulan now suffers from frequent seizures due to abuse and cannot control her body; at one point she bit into her tongue severely involuntarily.

2. [Meizhou, Guangdong Province] Ms. Lai Yiner Arrested

A group of police officers went to 40-year-old Ms. Lai Yiner's flour processing store the morning of April 28 and arrested her. They took away all her Falun Gong truth-clarification materials and Falun Gong books. Ms. Lai was sent to Qinhuang Detention Center.

Mr. Zhang Jun and his wife Ms. Zhu Liru were arrested from their home on April 30. Participating in the arrest were Yushu Domestic Security Division agents. The couple is currently held in the Yushu Detention Center.

5. [Wuhai, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Xiaohua Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xiaohua, employed by Hubei University, was arrested at her home on April 24. The agents took away her recorder, computer, printer, and materials. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Huainan, Anhui Province] Mr. Liu Deyuan Arrested

Xiejiaji District Police Department officials arrested Mr. Liu Deyuan (approximately 70 years old) at noon on April 30. They also took away his personal belongings.

7. [Daqing, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Xingye Taken to the Yichun Brainwashing Center After Ten Years in Prison

Mr. Zhang Xingye, an employee from the Daqing Third Oil Extraction Plant, had been sentenced to ten years of imprisonment. He was supposed to be released on April 28, 2012 when his term was up. But Sun Hongbo from Daqing Third Oil Extraction Plant along with agents from the Domestic Security Division took him from that prison to the Yichun Brainwashing Center.

9. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Additional Information Regarding the Arrests of Ms. Chen Guizhi, Ms. Liu Yancui, Ms. Mu Xiangshun

After the arrests, Ms. Chen Guizhi from Dianbuqu Village, Qijia Town was sentenced to two years of forced labor. Ms. Liu Yancui from Zhang Jiagou Village was sentenced to forced labor for one year. Both of them are now in the Shandong Province First Women's Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Mu Xiangshun from Zhang Jiagou Village was sentenced to two years of forced labor.

10. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Yueqin and Ms. Wang Shuhui Arrested

Dongguan Police Station officials arrested Ms. Li Yueqin, 57, and Ms. Wang Shuhui (in her sixties) from Sanguanmiao Village, Kangzhuang Town on the morning of April 27 while they were telling people the facts about Falun Gong in Zitongmiao Village.

Ms. Wang Shuhui's family was extorted of 3,000 yuan and she was released at 6:00 p.m. the same day. Ms. Li Yueqin is being held at the Gaomi City Detention Center.

12. [Chongqing] Additional Information Regarding the Arrest of Mr. Zhou Xueliang

More than ten agents from the Huaxi Street Residential Committee, the Huaxi Police Station and Xiejiawan Street Residential Committee arrested Mr. Zhou Xueliang from Lijiatuo while he was telling people the facts about Falun Dafa the morning of April 27. He is now held at the Banan District Detention Center.

13. [Wuliang County, Shandong Province] Ms. Ma Ruimei Held in the Rizhao City Detention Center

Donggang Domestic Security Division in Rizhao including Qin Yujing arrested Ms. Ma Ruimei from Yanjiazhuang, Kouguan Township on April 3. The arrest happened while she distributing Falun Gong truth-clarification materials in Luijiashun Village. Her home was also ransacked. She is now being held in the Rizhao City Detention Center.

14. [Langfang, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Yushan Arrested

Xinkailu Police Station agents arrested retired Mr. Wang Yushan, former employee of the Langfang City Pipeline Bureau, while he distributed Falun Gong truth-clarification materials at a market on April 22. His whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. Lu Limin from Gaoxin District was arrested on April 20 and is now being held in the Lumu Detention Center in Suzhou.

When Mr. Zhao Bin and Mr. Pang Guangwen from Shandong Province were doing business in Sanzao Town, Nanhui District in Shanghai, local police agents arrested them. The agents took away their computer and printer.
