(Minghui.org) On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the introduction of Falun Dafa to the public, Anthony R. Foxx, Mayor of the City of Charlotte, North Carolina, proclaimed May 13, 2012 as “20th ANNIVERSARY OF WORLD FALUN DAFA DAY” in Charlotte.

Whereas, Falun Dafa is an advanced exercise and meditation practice of mind, body, and spirit based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance; and
Whereas, Falun Dafa transcends cultural and racial boundaries and contributes to the universal dream of a peaceful, tolerant and more compassionate society; and
Whereas, Falun Dafa, publicly introduced by Mr. Li Hongzhi in 1992, is now practiced and cherished by over 100 million people and has received a plethora of honors; and
Whereas, Charlotte residents can participate in the global effort to peacefully appeal for freedom and human rights for those in need:
Now, Therefore, I, Anthony R. Foxx, Mayor of Charlotte, do hereby proclaim May 13, 2012 as
“20th ANNIVERSARY OF WORLD FALUN DAFA DAY”
in Charlotte and commend its observance to all citizens.
