Solemn Declaration
I was a village chief in 2000. It was during the time that Falun Gong was most severely persecuted. Without knowing anything about Falun Gong, I had helped the township cadres to find Dafa practitioners on their list. There were thirty or forty some Falun Gong practitioners at that time. I called them in for a meeting an ordered them to declare that they would no longer practice Falun Gong. Those who did not declare clearly were beaten by the cadres and were fined about 200-1,000 yuan. All the fines were given to the township. Those who refused to declare were sent to brainwashing centers, labor camps or prisons. I have since read Minghui Weekly for more than a decade. I know that Falun Gong practitioners follow the standard of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to be good people. They are healthy and their families are harmonious. I personally experienced almost every movement of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). After much thought, I now realize that suppressing Falun Gong and persecuting those who cultivate Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are wrong. After listening to a kind person's truth-clarification today, I completely understand the truth. Now, I solemnly declare: All the bad deeds that I have done under deceit that damages Dafa and Dafa disciples are null and void. I know I was wrong. I will support Dafa and believe that Falun Dafa is good.

Solemn Declaration
During the CCP's “Two Conferences” – the People's Political Consultative Conference and the National People's Congress annual meetings, our local Residential Committee members checked citizens' residential registration door to door. They first checked the registration of our family and ordered me to sign the “pledge card” that slandered Falun Gong. I asked, “Would it be okay if I do not sign it?” They answered rudely, “No! Everyone has to sign the card. If you don't, we will come back every day. Our superior will not allow us to not fulfill our duties. We are under pressure too.” They refused to leave if I did not sign it. Fearful of the troubles I would cause and considering my 9-year-old daughter, I unwillingly signed the card despite my anger. My mother has cultivated in Dafa for more than 10 years. She is very healthy, physically and mentally. I have supported her, and our whole family believes that Dafa is good. I solemnly declare: The pledge card I signed and gave to the Residential Committee is null and void.
