(Minghui.org) My family has a history of liver disease, as five of my family members have died from it. But Master Li has saved our entire family and has given us second lives.
I am now 64 years old. I was a factory worker before I retired. Before I began practicing Falun Gong, I was dying from liver disease. It was hereditary—from my grandfather on my mother's side. I witnessed each of my family members suffer greatly. They all ended up dying painfully at young ages. It was frightening. We had spent a lot of money to find different ways to treat the disease. We had taken a lot of medicine, but the hereditary disease was basically not curable. My oldest sister died at 28 and left three young children; the youngest one was only eight months old at the time of her death. My mother died at 54, my oldest brother at 50, my second brother at 52, and my youngest brother at eight.
I was forty some years old and my condition was getting worse. I was hepatitis B III positive and was close to liver cirrhosis. I also had gastritis and gastroptosis and could barely eat. Both of my children were young and they each had liver diseases as well. I tried everything and even became a lay Buddhist at some point. I spent a lot of money on medical treatments but nothing was working.
In May 1996, just when I was desperate, I met an older person who gave me a book called Zhuan Falun, told me read it, and said that it could save my life. I thought I would give a try. It really amazed me because I could not put it down after I started reading the book. What is the purpose of life? Why do humans come to this world? Why do people get sick? How to be a good person? It explained everything that I had tried to figure out in my life. I realized that only Falun Dafa could save me, and I began to walk the path of Falun Dafa cultivation.
Very soon after I began doing the Falun Dafa exercises, I completely changed. My view of the world changed; my hepatitis B was cured; I was no longer in pain and became much more energetic; my stomach did not hurt anymore; and I could eat and sleep normally once again.
Seeing my changes, my entire family was very happy and they all benefited from it. Both my children had their liver disease cured without their being aware until after they were well.
Now I have been practicing Falun Dafa for 16 years. I have not taken one pill or any injections since starting the practice. I am very healthy and can do any physical labor. I cannot put in words my appreciation for Master and can never repay what he had given me. It was he who gave me and my family our second lives.
Master told us to be good persons. He told us to always think of others, take care of our elders, and raise our children well. I try to follow his teachings all the time and told my children to be good students at school and good workers at work. I try to never take advantage of others. For instance, sometimes I get too much change back at the store and always return the extra change. If I don't notice it at the time, I go back and return the extra money later. One time I found more than 300 yuan in the hallway and I had to visit several homes until I found the owner.
My husband's health isn't very good. His workplace closed down and even before that, he didn't get any salary for more than 10 years. Someone gave me a suggestion: get a fake divorce certificate and then we would be able to get some social security money. I did not agree to do this, because I'm a Falun Dafa practitioner and must follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and cannot lie.
I hope that all people will get to know the facts about Falun Gong and not believe the Chinese Communist regime's propaganda. I hope that they will all make the right choice and have a good future. Please remember, “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!”
