(Minghui.org) For the coming 13th World Falun Dafa Day and the 20th anniversary of the introduction of Falun Dafa to the public, US Senator Robert Menendez from New Jersey presented a proclamation to recognize the World Falun Dafa Day and wish all the best for the celebration of World Falun Dafa Day.

Whereas, World Falun Dafa Day will be celebrated on May 13, 2012 and marks the 13th “World Falun Dafa Day” and the 20th anniversary of the public introduction of Falun Dafa; and

Whereas, World Falun Dafa Day celebrates Falun Gong, which was started in 1992 in China by founder Master Li Hongzhi, and since then it has been practiced by tens of millions of Chinese citizens; and

Whereas, World Falun Dafa Day honors Master Li Hongzhi, who has compiled a distinguished record of service to people throughout the world, and has been nominated for the Nobel peace Prize four times because of his dedication to others; and

Whereas, World Falun Dafa Day was first introduced to Rutgers University in 1996, and since then has touched numerous residents of New Jersey through free workshops and classes that have been offered across the state in libraries, community centers, senior centers, and other universities; and

Whereas, World Falun Dafa Day celebrates Falun Dafa a peaceful spiritual practice rooted in traditional Chinese cultures, that consists of meditation, five gentle sets of exercises, and a moral philosophy centered on the values of truthfulness, compassion and tolerance; and

Whereas, World Falun Dafa Day has been spread across the United Stated by its dedicated practitioners who have dedicated countless hours to their communities by organizing free meditation classes, Chinese cultural productions of music and dance, and by participating in local events.

Therefore, in presenting this proclamation to:
