(Minghui.org) On May 6, more than 700 Falun Gong practitioners from Seoul held a large scale event to celebrate the 13th World Falun Dafa Day and the 20th Anniversary of the Public Introduction of Falun Dafa. Twenty guests, including Shin Hak-yong, lawmaker of the main opposition Democratic Party, gave speeches at the celebration. Practitioners gave music performances and demonstrated the exercises. The Divine Land Marching Band also performed at the celebration.

Many government officials and representatives from non-government organizations sent letters and gave speeches at the celebration. In his letter, Mr. Shin Hak-yong, lawmaker of the main opposition Democratic Party, condemned the persecution of Falun Gong in China. He talked about the spread of Faluln Gong in the world. He wished Master Li Hongzhi a happy birthday, and sent his greetings to all practitioners in Korea.
Mr. Zheng Qiuchen, representative from the Korean Chamber of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong, also condemned the persecution. He said that the issue of Falun Gong is one of the core problems that the Chinese Communist Party is facing. He urged the Chinese government to stop the persecution and restore the reputation of Falun Gong.

In the afternoon, practitioners demonstrated the exercises and passed out truth-clarifying materials. At the end of the event, practitioners took a group photo, and wished Master Li Hongzhi a happy birthday. The celebration ended at 4 p.m.
