(Minghui.org) When I read the announcement “Call for Submissions to Commemorate the Twentieth Anniversary of Falun Dafa’s Introduction” on the Minghui website, I didn’t have a good understanding of the part that said “... to better validate the Fa and help the world’s people see the truth.” So, I felt clueless about what to write. After reading fellow practitioners’ sharing though, I understand it better.
When I looked back at the past fourteen years of my cultivation, I couldn't hold back my tears. Each event seemed as if it had happened just yesterday. Every step of my cultivation has been permeated with Teacher’s compassion and hard work. In clarifying the truth about the persecution, validating Dafa, saving sentient beings, painstakingly getting rid of attachments, and enduring the ups and downs in cultivation—all under Teacher’s benevolence and protection—I have truly witnessed Dafa's greatness and Teacher’s immeasurable compassion. Even using all the words in the world, I still wouldn't be able to express my infinite gratitude to Teacher.
I wrote about not falling into the trap of everyday people's corruption when I was in charge of the general affairs of my work unit, about kindly resolving my bad relationship with my mother-in-law, and about the miracles I experienced in ordinary society. After finishing my writing, I felt that by participating in Minghui’s eleven calls for submissions, I had created a summary of my entire cultivation. I felt that my level was raised because of the writing. Here is what I thought:
The Internet Experience Sharing Conference for Practitioners in China has been hosted by Minghui for each of the past eight years. I also participated in the “Call for Submissions to Commemorate May 13th World Falun Dafa Day” in 2010 and the “Call for Photographic Entries on the Theme 'On a Divine Path'” in June 2010. Three of my submissions to the experience sharing conferences were published by Minghui. I don’t think it is particularly important to have an article published. The most important thing is to participate in the event. It demonstrates that Dafa disciples are acting as one body. It is also an important way for us to validate the Fa. The goal is to validate the Fa, not to validate oneself. The processing of writing the article itself is an enhancement.
Some fellow practitioners said that they didn’t know what to write or that they didn’t have much to write about. Many practitioners haven’t submitted any articles to any conferences. I want to say a few words to those who still don’t want to write to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of Falun Dafa’s introduction, especially to those veteran practitioners who started their cultivation before July 20, 1999.
We are so fortunate to have attained the Fa in or before 1999. Through the ups and downs, we have followed our great Teacher to walk the path of Fa-rectification for over ten years. During this time, there have been challenges, tribulations, and even choices between life and death. With righteous faith in Dafa and under Teacher’s benevolent care we have managed to arrive where we are today. And we have become firmer and firmer in Dafa and more and more mature. A bright future is just ahead of us. Having cultivated for so many years in Dafa, do we really not have any words to say to Teacher? Is there really nothing for us to write? Of course, there is a lot. Every true disciple could write a book to thank Teacher for his graciousness. We share our stories of getting healthy, improving our xinxing, upgrading morality, achieving a harmonious family life, and bringing indirect benefits to friends and relatives. We also share the moments of our exposing the evil, clarifying the truth of Dafa, saving sentient beings, acting with righteous thoughts and righteous actions, disintegrating evil, and improving our levels. Writing about these things validates the Fa. It is our unavoidable responsibility as Dafa disciples.
We should not underestimate ourselves or think that what we do is ordinary. In the past decade, Dafa disciples have created extraordinary achievements out of ordinary things. Each event may look ordinary, but it is actually of great significance. All these things are given to us by Dafa. Without Teacher’s benevolent protection, there would not be the glory of our assisting Teacher to rectify the Fa. Minghui has given us an opportunity. Why don’t we write down a few examples of the splendor and sacredness of Dafa? We could write about miracles we have witnessed, and how our cultivation has benefitted others, about validating the Fa, clarifying the truth and saving sentient beings. The purpose is to validate the greatness of Falun Dafa and Teacher’s benevolence. Let’s use our writing to praise Teacher, praise Dafa, and create a record of the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa for posterity. Doing this, we will not have regrets later.
Don’t be blocked by the notion of “being unable to write.” It just depends on whether you have firm faith. Teacher told us once the story of an illiterate old lady: Teacher saw her sincere heart and then put every [Chinese] character of Zhuan Falun into her head while she slept, so that when she woke up, she could read the whole book by herself.
“Cultivation depends on one’s own efforts, while the transformation of gong is done by one’s master.” (Lecture One, Zhuan Falun)
“When it looks impossible and is said to be impossible, give it a try and see if it is possible. If you can actually do it, you will indeed find: 'After passing the shady willow trees, there will be bright flowers and another village ahead!'” (Lecture Nine, Zhuan Falun)
